    Manzareh,

Don't pay heed to these English translations, I have seen many nasty translations of Holy Quran too.

People should be proud of their heritage and background and not allow Religion to make yourself feel wrong
Rural Punjab is only similar probably to rural Himachal Pradesh or rural Gujerat. But there's a gradual transition from India into the Punjab. The Northwest of the subcontinent, a small portion of India, might be like the Punjab, but that's about it.

Himachal Pradesh? Really? You need a geography lesson my friend.

And Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat - all the areas where the border runs; you will find similar looking people across either side.

I don't consider rural areas of Indian Punjab to be like Pakistani Punjab. It's different enough. HImachal Pradesh seems more like the rural areas of Pakistani Punjab.

Kashmir no. Punjab and Rajasthan are a bit similar, Gujarat looks a bit Sindhi. But that's about it. Indians generally will not look Gujerati or Rajasthani (though some Rajasthanis now look very Indian it seems).

I take it that you haven't visited India. Otherwise you'd know that Himachal Pradesh is a mountainous region and neither its topography, nor its people look anyway similar to Pakistani Punjabis. For the rest of your post, my first sentence stands.

Of all the books that I have read, they were all overwhelming sure about the lack of veracity in the white antecedents of the Aryans. As prince pointed out, Aryans referred to a noble or an exalted status.

And wrt Gods being fair skinned - Krishna the most worshiped avatars of Vishnu is darker skinned. And so is Shiva, part of the holy trinity of Hindu Gods.

And its really pointless talking about a "white race". Apart from satisfying our anthropological curiosity it doesnt tell us anything interesting.

Khalsa, either your lying or your lack of knowledge about the hindu religion is disturbing as your a sikh (as sikhism is officially classed as a branch of hinduism) anyway, NONE of the hindu gods are dark skinned unlike the overwhelming indian dravidian dark skinned population of india. infact theyd rather worship a BLUE god than a brown one, even the monkey and elephant gods have white skin and light eyes. Krishna is depcted either blue or white, and vishnu is fair skinned too. use google and type 'hindu gods' in and tell me how many indian coloured gods ther are.

I am happy with my knowledge of Hinduism. Googling a few pictures tells you jacks*** about Hindu Gods. I am sorry I argued with you.

And no, Sikhsim is not a branch of Hinduism.

Many of them are light skinned. But some Hindu Gods are categorized as Dravidian even though they appear light skinned. very bizarre.

BTW Manzareh there are about 330,000 Hindu gods, why don't you take a survey using your questionable google skills and categorize them according to their skin color

Trollrunner, Delhi is in Punjab ? Ha ha ... next you will tell us that Banglore is in Kerala ..

Anyways this thread is turning more and more bizarre with blind leading the blind , so

                        Ciao

Drona, this thread teaches us a very important lesson - Google is no substitute for real experience. Our Google experts here think they know all about Hinduism and India. Amazing..!
