You think when all the Iranian empires since 500 BC - 700 AD that ruled from Hindu river to Egypt manage it divided. It was united they could conquer the world so easy. Divided they fall like we do today.

I am not saying we all should be best buddies again but at least allies against outsiders should be a priority.
Not you brother but some guy named "mazdarya" who doesn't come online here anymore (only lurks sometimes) and proposed this prerogative. We have nothing in common with these people dude, just the fact we speak iranic languages and share the same religion but thats it. Btw Pashtuns had been fighting of the Persian empire ever since it was founded. We don't like to be ruled by others.

Have to dissgree with you there brother we are the same exact people as Afghan Farsiwan. Tajik is a term brought by Uzbeks and made famous by Russians. The East iranics that adopted farsi are todays Afghan "Tajiks" though theyv sa really Afghan Farsiwan. My own father was half Afghan farsiwan he only spoke farsi and never once called himself Tajik but a Farsizaban. However because of the outsiders trying to divide us he would be counted as Tajik.

I am really sorry but I can't find a link. Maybe there is written some histories about it in Avesta or other ancient literatures. This was in 2010 or 2012 when I was in touch with a Iranian professor who told me more interesting stories about Yazdegerd III and his journey to China after loosing his empire to arabs. So I asked him about modern day Pashtunistan and its people during the collapse time of Sassanid Empire.

He told me majority of the noble and rich Sassanid citizens moved to Pashtunistan/Afghanistan and was protected by us for almost 150-200 years before they fully assimilated, like the rest of other ethnicities in our soil.

But one of the main reasons why some dynasties like Sassanids lost Pashtun support was mainly heavy taxes and losing in touch with their humanity. The rich and nobles families had become more spoiled and Pashtun got tried of their high arrogance so they didn't send more of their lioness Pashtun sons to fight wars all the way into Egypt etc.

If you have advanced knowledge of Achemenied history, Parthian History or Sassanids in the end of each Empire, it was as filled with CORRUPTION, coup d'etat's, miss using the empires treasury bonds and the rulers loosing support of the ordinary people across the all the big provinces like Ariana/Pashtunistan etc.

This story about supporting other empires, may not included majority of Pashtuns. Because Pashtuns are a very special warrior race. Each place on our Pashtun soil our noble people have their freedom and choice to do what the local people want. We know many famous and semi modern legendary Pashtuns have been seen in all empires, Mughal's, Ottomans, Savavids, etc.

Even legends like Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan last wish was to get buried on pure Pashtun soil.

Just like in India a 1.3 billion officials numbers, the most famous actors they got are Pashtuns.

Thanks for the great response wror. I would also like to add that when Darius the third was defeated by Alexander the Great he escaped to Bactria. However he lost the support of the satrap of Bactria Bessus and he was killed by him. After this Bessus declared himself king of the Achemenien Empire and had the support of Arachosia, Aria, Darangiana, and Gandhara. However this was seen as treason by Alexander and he tortured then killed Bessus.

Maybe some will be closer to Tajiks since they used to be Pashtun before Persianization hit them, but in large, Pashtuns don't feel as close to farsiwans as they do to their own. Even different Pashtun tribes have differences. I can only see some northern Pashtuns feeling closer to them since they live on the same land but other than that, no. Most Farsiwans themselves came from either Bukhara or Tajikistan a long time ago.

That's interesting, maybe this confines with the theory of these immigrants being Farsiwans who probably settled in Herat? I know Afghanistan has had tons of migration towards the country since it was free and un-conquered which immigrants saw as a good oppurtunity, kind of like Canada or America.

Well first wror you have to understand there are 2 kinds of Tajiks. There are the real Tajiks the Tajiks from Turkistan who either live in Turkistan or have Turkic features. Then there are Afghan farsiwan. These are East Iranics or Ariane who were persianized. They have the same origins as Pashtuns and have never referred to themselves as Tajiks until the Russians came. Two empire that they have created are the Saffarid and Samanid empires. The only Tajiks that came from Bukhara are the Turkistani Tajiks the Afghan Farsiwan have lived in Afghanistan since the begging and are most likely the people that have always lived in the urban areas.
The term Tajik was foriegn to Afghanistan until the Uzbeks came.
"In Badaḵšān and Panjšir of Afghanistan, Tājik was a heteronym bestowed by the local Uzbeks, and adopted by the ruling Pashtuns and the local Persian-speakers themselves in comparatively recent times."

Also of course a Pashtun would feel closer to a Pashtun we speak the same language. However in general Afghan Pashtuns feel closer to Afghan farsiwan than they do to Paki Pashtuns.

                          Some facts for you

*All Pashtuns/Afghan by default are Pakistani e.g Pashtun with American or Israely citizenship is still a Pakistani by default.
*Pashtun living within the radius of 69-82Km farsiwand community cannot be referred to as a Pashtun unless he migrate to a region that has never seen any farsiband community(andaman island or something related) and live in isolation for atleast six weeks
*A Pashtun if not a muslim is not a Pashtun
*Pashtun following anything other than Deobandi sect is not a Pashtun

                          I will add more later,thanks

You only need to look our Pashtunwali to see how our ancestors protected and sheltered refugees from savage invasions from outsiders. To be clear in the past 2000 years, Pashtunistan have been invaded almost 700 and every super power who tried got its as beaten.

But our soil and people was severely damage, they burned our libraries, they burned down our religious, scientific, history books, they destroyed our cities our ancient artefacts. Like the savage Mongol armies burned down Herat, because we killed his harami son who lost the battle against Pashtuns. Even today pure Pashtuns respect their enemies if they come and seek shelter from injustice, but I hope they change their mind about letting him STAY in our Pashtun soil.

That's why our Pashtun people had the best reputation before civil wars and still is the nr 1 cultural/people in my eyes.

But seriously I am not going to be as kind as my ancestors. Never again will my legacy allow future Pashtunistan get foreign citizens and mix raced people to settle in who can later turn their back on us when they have hard time.

Because you can't let your future grandchildren suffer for your kindness and naivety, when you letting in bad seeds that grows slowly and corrupts our Pashtun soil. You can't let the future of Pashtunistan suffer because now we got the old refugees wanting to claim more power, more land and mix raced haramaziis who serve their foreign interesting and their own rather than our holy Pashtun soil and its majority of citizens.

I don't need to bring you evidence to your door steps when you see how many of mix raced people here on PF like dannu bani, brown savage, other retarded influenced with wahabii ideology or half arabic Iranians shiites supports either their own foreign master or wanting the pure Pashtuns to suffer and talk bad things about us. This is the thank we get for rescued their grandfathers/grandmothers and letting them stay in our soil because we are a noble people not like any one else out in the world.

Some idiots may say but hey western countries take refuges. haha let me say this to you first of all western countries have different culture, they like to party, ****kk, and priorities their career rather than settle early and start a FAMILY. When they their women are 30-40 they start having kids. Its only 1 or 2 maximum. So they need workers that's why they take in refugees. And what does the refugees get to work with mostly? Taxi driver, cleaner, restaurant etc.

If they see the immigrants get better job and better houses than their rich, haha trust me their eyes and mouth drop out and they get hateful towards immigrants.

Some history about the savage Mongol who mass murdered most of the Asian continent. These bad and savage seeds live today inside and near our soil today. Temüjin aka Gengish "khan" leaved a legacy after him, but that legacy will be the end of his race one way or another. Mongols today are hated throw out the world. China hates, them Iranian despite them and even killing look a like Mongols, Europe hates Turks/Mongols, in Europe they call people with down syndrome for mongoloid. Haha Good job Temüjin!

To Paradise, with Pakhto, I will go.

But we should not forget. Dari/Parsi was one of the official languages in courts and foreign territories ruled by our ancestors. India had Parsi as official language for centuries before European dogs mainly British ******* came and made them slaves.

Still, Pashto is always the power language used only in our armies and universities. All Army names are in Pashto and all final exams as well.

I love the idea that Pashto is very pure like our Pashtun race, and very proud as well. Because it means we are intact, our identity is intact, and it will be easier to purify our nation in the future. It will make my work easier with DNA test and language.

Wroora I don't know how old you are. But when I talk with some Pashtun elders about language they all have different opinion about what Pashto dialect is the oldest. Do you know which Pashto dialect is the oldest one in Pashtunistan?

Some regard Farsi as the second language of Islam as it is rich in religious literature as well as other texts.

From Bangladesh to Turkey, Farsi has been the official language of Muslims at various times (was the first official language of the Ottomans), and in Bangladesh land records for land ownership for around over 150 years are in Farsi as it was the Mughal language.

The British to disconnect south Asian Muslims from the wider Islamic world and literature promoted the use of Urdu over - what was then regarded as the more "Islamic" language - Farsi.
