  • Naming of nuclear weapons after Afghan historical figures.

Pakistan has named its weapons of mass destruction after Afghan historical figures whom we Afghans hold dear.
Ive heard some Afghans take pride in this and even say that "Pakistan even uses names of Afghan heroes because they dont have their own"

why arent pakistanis calling these weapons of mass destruction jiang or allama iqbal or liaqat ali?

IM TOTALLY AGAINST NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND FIND IT TO BE INSULTING TO NAME THESE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AFTER AFGHAN HEROES.I THINK AFGHANS SHOULD DEMAND THESE NAMES TO BE CHANGED

An artificial state, created by the British, will obviously try to use Afghan historical figures to scare Indians. Indians darn well know these are Afghan figures, and given that Pakistan has no history, they will obviously use the Muslim card and claim since those Afghans were Muslim, they can claim as their brethren.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Most pakis say becuase those leaders were Pashtun and becuase there are pashtuns living in Pakistan they are allowed to use those names, like Afghans use Rumi and Abn Sina as theres becuase we have Tajiks in Afghanistan and they are Afghan nationals.
        Ithink thats the reason.

Lol i don't get it there must be a crazy theory behind this .
          -------------
Pull out your swords and slay anyone that says Pashtun and Afghan are not one. Arabs know this and so do Romans: Afghans are Pashtuns and Pashtuns are Afghans!

Khushal Khan Khattak (1613–1689) was a prominent Afghan(pashtun) poet, warrior, charismatic personality and tribal chief of the Khattak tribe of the Afghans. He is the first Afghan mentor who presents his theories for the unity of the Afghan resistance against the foreign parts, and the creation of a nation-state.

this could be verry true since pakistan hates india. Whatever they are not that naive that afghans have their own problems, and they are damn sure why they couldve done that without any afghan copyright lOOOOOOOO| i am also against this .

They have exploited us as a nation and used us as weapons against everyone else as in the past. I find it ironic.

Don't stress too much about it. Anybody with a brain size, whose weight is larger than of a pea, knows that Pakistan is an artificial state, in which each province is a country. Such Banana republics, if you grab a history book, always appear and dissolve almost immediately. Even Today, the inhabitants of the British creation are at each others throats. Muhajirs are murking Pashtuns, Pashtuns are dispatching Liaqat Bangash type of people to chop Muhajir heads off, Baluchistan wants nothing to do with the state, I mean, it's only natural for the government to use Afghan figures for their happiness. After all, the A in Pakistan was supposed to represent Afghans.

Like I tell many, don't worry about Pakistan. Don't compare a mighty power like India to a banana republic like Pakistan. The only thing in common with India and Pakistan is IT, an awesome export I might confess. It's just that India exports IT, as in, Information Technology, while Pakistan exports IT, as in, International Terrorism.

                  Best,

There are some heroes who belong to all Muslims. For instance Sher Shah Suri was our Emperor and hero, but Afghan-Pashtuns also own him. Ghazi Salahuddin, Amir Taimur, Tipu Sultan and so on are heroes of the Muslims.

Asad Khana, we don't own him, he is one of us(an Afghan).

that would be fine and good if it were not for pakistan being detrimentally involved in the nation that spawned these leaders. naming a missile after a man(abdali) who would go to war with pakistan today if he were still alive is amusing. the others were not pashtun, there is debate about ghauri but i think the consensus was that he was not, so i don't have a problem with that from a nationalist standpoint. but again it is amusing from an islamic standpoint to see pakistan doing all it can to play up the islamic image while being a complete contradiction in its domestic and foreign affairs. these people need to realize that while they may be muslim, they are still the legacy of india and the british.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

i actually feel sorry for paki scientists as its obvious that there are bright people involved in the states defense programs but the state is a sinking ship and the state would rather invest in terrorism than nurturing these bright minds. its like soviet scientists in the 80s.
