This is the reason he too bribed and negotiated his way out.

Unlike most of humanity at the time, Pashtuns did not fear him and did not care for his threats. Pashtuns were the only people who gave him a sound beating.

No glorification here but sound facts backed by the historical record

Safavids were kicked out by Mirwais neeka, and Persia was later invaded in retaliation

      Same goes for the Singhs
Yes, Genghiz Khans grandson was killed in Afghanistan. Ghazni, to be exact. And it was the only loss he suffered in Asia. The Khwarezm Prince Jalaludin led the resistance.

Thats the part of history class you were paying attention in

You must have slept through the part where Ghazni, Balkh and Herat were destroyed, Helmands irrigation canals destroyed, and heads rolled all across Khwarezm

If anything, most Pashtuns simply hid out in the mountains

You must have slept through the part where they explained why the mongols were feared throughout asia.
Ofcourse they were destroyed. You do realize the Mongols war stretegy was to put fear into people by making an example of the ones that resist them. Whenever the mongol army amassed around a city, they demanded them to surrender or be burned to the ground and they always kept their promise. they destroyed the cities you mention because the pushtuns refused to surrender without a fight. The reason Baghdad and Damascus were burned for the same reason, the leaders of the city refused to surrender and the mongols like always kept their promise.
It is said that when the young men in moscow heard the mongols were coming, they had abondoned the city.

Alexander named Kandahar, what more occupation do you want!

The Persians ruled over Afghanistan for 1000s of years.

To be fair the only reason why empires failed was because the Afghan people were busy killing each other and it was difficult for empires to unite them, but that's not something to be proud of, how many times have the Ghilzais and Durranis fought each others for power?

What freedom loving people? I am not a man of deception, but foreigners get it wrong all the time, freedom loving character only applies to outsiders otherwise the people themselves are just as oppressive to their own kin then any other imperial power, what about the freedom loving character of the Afghan woman, she is locked up, beaten in public and considered the root cause of all mankind's sins.

Hes right, they do unite when there are invaders, but when those invaders leave, we are back to tribal wars and banditry.

If our people were truely freedom loving we would have freed ourselves from the warlords, Talibs, greedy politicians etc etc etc

More of your incompetence being revealed.
              1)Kandahar is named after Gandhara.
2)Internal fights happen in all societies over power.
              3)your stupidity has no limit.

ALL THESE BS ABOUT ''UNDEFEATED'' WERE CREATED TO BOOST THE NATIONAL PRIDE SPECIALLY OF PASHTUNS TO STAND AGAINST AN OCCUPATION OF POWER BY FOREIGNERS OR NON-PASHTUN AFGHANS ..lies created and we see that lies remain lies .. today, PAKISTAN IRAN INDIA UK USA GERMANY ALL OF THEM ARE IN OUR COUNTRY RULING .. TALIBAN ARE NOT WARRIORS .. they can not fight one to one or on the open battlefield ...neither against the ANA or ANP or anyone ,...so they have to come as shemales to Afghanistan to fight or fire from civilians or attack civilians ... or killing cowardly tribal elders and politicians believing their actions have any effects.. no they don´t have or have anyone see any effects when lal muhammad was kulled, the na general daud daud, the uzbek leader beig ??? no, they know they can not win but they want to show they are still there and a threath. Dropp off that lies of beeing undefeated or unconquered. The false pride destroyed us and made other peeing on our graves and doing their dances.
Foreign powers have great military strength, they got heavy artillery, high technology weapons, smart bombs and fly planes without pilots.
So quit this talk about fighting one on one.
Since colonial times they have used their intelligence services to brainwash our people and to spread lies amongst our tribes so we wouldnt stop fighting each other.
Cause our forefathers didnt accept them as their masters.

Afghans are a nation of warriors. Warfare is a part of our culture. The art of guerilla warfare is deeply rooted in our traditions.
We were born with weapons and until the last ones left we will teach our sons how to shoot.

                      I can explain.
you claimed that the mongols conquered central asia. how did they conquer central asia when it was them that converted to Islam and started speaking turkic and persian languages, abandoned their own culture and language. Would that not mean they themsleves were conquered.

detroying and burning down cities is not the definition of conquer. There has to be complete control when the population has completely submitted. Mongols could not step into pashtun land without fear of being killed. detroying and burning down cities was a war technique they used to put fear into people so they would not resist.

lol @ the semantics...destroying and burning cities, destroying irrigation canals, ruling for over a century, killing millions, fundementally restructuring afghanistan for ever is not conquering. okay.

LOL. change the century to a decade and you could say the same of the soviets.

oh yes because a century and a decade are so comparable. the pashtuns had a 100 yr resistance against Mongols. Of course.

                            • It's factual to state that the Mongols were beaten in Afghanistan,

Yes, they killed many, but they were constantly harrassed so much so that the negotiated their way out. In fact, Genghiz had to bribe his way out
Genghiz favorite grandson was killed. He took his "revenge" but was never able to control or put fear into Pashtuns.

                              They continuously attacked his forces.

This is not some fantasy myth I made up in my head.

Even Jon Stewart of the Daily Show knows this

your the one that thinks detroying is conquering. Did the russians not completely destroy afghanistan, fundamentaly restructured afghanistan forever. they did it in 10 years vs 100 years. more efficient. The irony is that unlike the mongols(who you claim conquered central asia) the russians(who themselves admit defeat) never converted to islam nor changed their language or culture but accepted defeat.
