Pakistan is on the verge of war over it. it will sacrifice itself and you for influnce in afghanistan. American has destroyed its economy just to exert control over it. the soviet union economy collpased trying to exert control over it.

they defeated them in battle but they still could not excercise control over them for very long. pashtuns have been defeated in battle many times due to lack of organization because of our tribalism. but control is a different matter.

I am sticked to my statement, though i spoke in context of old times. But even today NATO are in the land of dust, stones and rocks to curb talibanization...They have no intention of permenantly occupying such useles and troublesome area.

None of those nations successfully conquered Afghanistan. Is Afghanistan suffering from their attempts? Yes! Did they 'successfully conquer'? No. In fact, if we talk about mickey-mouse attempts at conquering --Afghanistan also conquered Iran, India(along with modern day Pakistan)etc.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I guess luffy doesnt understand what that dust and dirt is worth to us.

Here is a poem by Ahama shah Baba

By blood, we are immersed in love of you.
The youth lose their heads for your sake.
I come to you and my heart finds rest.
Away from you, grief clings to my heart like a snake.
I forget the throne of Delhi
when I remember the mountain tops of my Afghan land.
If I must choose between the world and you,
I shall not hesitate to claim your barren deserts as my own.

badshah khan decided to be buried in the land of dust, stones, and rocks and most of your missiles are named after people from that same land.

So why does america so desperatly want permanent military bases. by your logic i could say that noone wants to invade such a useless country like pakistan even though ameican found what they awere lookign for (osama) in pakistan but claimed to be in afghanistan for that same reason.

                    False.
Afghanistan is a wealthy country, when it comes to minerals and natural resources -- of which many are untapped. To claim Afghanistan is a land of "dust" is simply ignorance. Afghanistan has an important geostrategic location, and is home to lithium, copper and other important resources. There is a reason why Afghanistan has witnessed so many failed conquests. Had Afghanistan been "dusty" like the Arabian desert -- we wouldn't see Pakistan on her knees every time Kabul and Islamabad meet to talk about strategic ties, or the US spending MILLIONS per day to have some sort of influence in this nation. Lazh fikar waka malgara, USSR, Britain, USA aren't on cocaine when they say "We will always support and stand by Afghanistan".

They have no intention of permenantly occupying such useles and troublesome area.
                    False as well.

Not only that -- Since Pakistan is a young nation with no history under it's name, they proudly claim and take pride in Afghan/Indian history. In fact, I've seen Pakistanis take pride in how Afghans have defeated Britain three times, a nation which ruled them for decades. Luffy should very well know what Afghans did to Britain, and how much pride he and the Pakistani nation takes in those wars. The entire world knows about Afghan resilience. The aforementioned can't be said about new countries.

You are trying to drag me to present day times , i spoke in context of old times, when from east india company or mughals point of view afghanistan was a useless area as revenue from this area was negligible.
From local's prospective afghanistan is lovely and its sand, rocks are gems, but for outsiders this was always useless land. I love desert of my lakki marwat but for a punjabi it is a useless land.

Luffy, if trillions of dollars of resources means useless, then I might agree with you. You would need to provide concrete evidence for the Mughuls point of view argument. You can't just speak on behalf of a dynasty. I can't claim the reason why Ahmad Shah Baba didn't invade Mexico is because it's sandy. That's a fallacy at it's best, wrora.

Judging by the amount of failed conquests -- history just does not agree with you.

Its because general population of Pakistan are non-racists and take pride in achievements of their muslim afghan brothers. Islam is brought to subcontinent mostly from afghanistan so history of indo-pak is linked with afghanistan. Only a fool would deny the links.
