  • References on Ahmad Shah Abdali and Zahir Shah

    Hello you, people....

I’ve been looking pretty much everywhere for some good reference on both, Ahmad Shah Abdali and Zahir Shah. The Pashtun forums seem to be the best places to find these, for it saves me the time selecting prejudiced and superficial information (I can have those with the Ocidental roots).

So.... would anyone, please, point me a way to find good literature on them? Also: please, make it in English; Pashtu and Urdu illiterate here.

    Thank you in advance.

Preferentially academic, but I know it'll be difficult so, I'm taking any reliable source on them. I was pointed an autobiography by Abdali, which seems impossible to find in English, but, apparently, would be the best source.

In any case.... I stick with reliable sources, like in.... I've been to too many confused writtings on them. This, or some full of bias ones.

So, I need references on them, good enough not to be denied in the first reading, capable of support my ideas on who the father of an Afghan nation would be.

        Hi, Pukhtana,

        Thanks for the warm welcome.

Yeah, I need literature on him, if you can point me the links or post here, do as it's better to you. See... I really need your critic sense. Being a Pashtun and living this reality, your opinion and critical sense in choosing the texts is already half the way I have to go.

Way too good for a start! Thank you so much. Now... reading this, I'll need to ask you questions. First being, are you Afghani?

Some would disagree with you like... the ones who say "Afghani" is a nationality. I'm familiar with the Pashtun=Afghan one.

In any case, making it somehow better to you, are you born in Afghanistan?

And I’m not Pashtun. Nor Afghani. Nor Pakistani. I’m a bless! Hahahaha

            PM to you.

Ah, now I have a good reason. Not calling any of you Afghanis!

And call me not an Euro or a dollar.... call me Real. I'll be glad!

Now, as I said, I'm already well aware of the Pashtuns being the ethnic Afghans and all. It's not my fault is some government decided to mess it up. Avoiding further misunderstandings, I take your place of birth for an answer

And, handsome, I take the notes on Zahir now too.... I'll put it all together and finally do my work. Not without bugging you a little more still.

If you have them, please. I'm waiting.

Yeah, I've heard really nice things about the Kandahari dialect.

Now, being Afghanistan a nation what's so unique about it? What is it that makes you so proud?

Well, Nazia, I have a problem, which is, I really like Pashtuns, but I still scare!

Hmmm... Ahmad Abdali was Kandahari, retarded question now, also a Pashtun? What about Zahir Shah? Who'd you rather?
