Well, actually, I can totally understand their pride, James. I would be that proud if I were one of them too..... and attan.... I have a thing for the Mohmand and the Khattak one. Have you seen how they manage those swords? Too bad my roots would never allow me to it!

So, Hindu, the problem with Zahir is the language? Only?

So, Nazia, would you define Pashtuns in terms of language, values (the code of honor) and religion?

Mixing concepts... it might seem normal to you, but it'll drag me to the "Pashtun for dummies" questions, Hindu....

Afghanistan is a nation. Now, please, classify: Pashtuns, Kandaharis and, lets say, Kabulis.

What if I'm not Pashtun, Afghanistan is not my nation then?

Afghanistan has been the nation for everyone now: uzbeks, tajiks, hazaras....they are Afghan by nationality

                          but being ethnic Afghan =Pashtun

From East,South, and till some parts of the West, are majority Pashtuns

the North is majority Tajiks, since its closer there.....though provinces can be mixed....you will find Pashtuns in Herat......Tajiks in Laghman....Pashtuns in Panjshir....but there are majorities: eg. Kunar is 90% Pashtuns and 95% Pashto speaking...

Hey, guys, thank you very much for the attention, help and patience. The second thing I love the most about Pashtuns is the infallible warmth.

Unfortunatelly, though, life calls and the sun is rising. I'll catch up with you some other time.

Have a nice day you all.
