Bluffing that you claim to know the history of Pashtuns, which nobody knows. I have read several of your posts which you say numerous times that "oh I was going to edify you guys, but your not worth it" that slides one or two times, but not a dozen. Its called bluffing. In NY, we call that "talking out of your ass"

Aryan is an Indo-Iranian word for people of the area -- both a Sanskrit and Avestan word.Originally posted by KingKhan View PostLemars sources impugned themselves. They said Aryan is Sanskrit word for the people of the area. Then Lemar said Afghan is just the Sanskrit word for the area.
If you fast forward to today Aryan= Iran. Afghan= Pashtun. And were still going no where.
Historical "Iran" doesn't refer to contemporary Iran. For example, in Ferdawsi's poems, he talks about Afghanistan's Sakastan (Kandahar), Kabul region while talking about "Iran". Middle Pashto or Saka language was spoken in southern Afghanistan whom Ferdawsi referred to as "Iran". And furthermore, on some occasions scholars like Al Biruni talk about eastern Afghanistan and Pukhtunkhwa while talking about "India"!!Last edited by آريا; 03-29-2011, 12:59 AM.

Pashtuns are a mix and mash of many different tribes who were attributed to many different cultures, but united under a common language and ethnicity.
They absorbed Indo-Iranians like the Hepthalite Huns, the Turkic Khalaj/Ghaljai (scholars relate them to the Hephtalites), the Saka (probably Haumavargae and Massagatae), Dards of Nuristan, the Pashai, the Iranic Urmuris (Logar and Parachinar), Turkics (Qizilbash) some of the Indo-Aryan Ghandarans of Peshawar, Tajiks who resided in Gardez, Peshawar, Kabul, Kandahar, the Ghorids (Suris, etc).

And NY is highly irrelevant. You seem to think it's some sort of status symbol.
One of the most congested sewer system in the world unsurprisingly.Last edited by Guest; 03-29-2011, 04:12 AM.
