There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

science comes up with new theories all the time. in 5 years or 10 it will be something different. they found a skull in australia about 7 years ago that befuddled their theories about the missing link.

I am not really an expert on the origions of pashtuns but I will share with you guys what I have come to learn from my "research".

King khan...the theory that civilization started only 5000 years ago is bogus and erraneous. The reason why people usually think history started 5000 years ago is only because writing began 5000 years ago. So history only goes as far back as a written record of it was established...that in the hieroglyphs of the egyptians, babylonians etc ...and by the way you said 4 civlizations but did you forget about the Mayans?

You trace back civilization to 3000 BCE but the "fairytale" of Aryans goes back to 8000 BCE. The so called "proto-indo european" civilization had a clash with the people of "atlantis" who were known as "aryans". The first written record of atlantis is passed from the eyptians to the greeks in around 500 BCE. There are many wide and varying theories on where atlantis was situated...some say off the coast of britain and as such the "atlantic ocean". But there is only circumstantial evidence of any of it being true.

The idea of a "proto-indo-european" began to emerge as scholars from the british empire began to notice similarties between the languages, motifs and mythologies of certain societies such as the celtics, the "iranians" and the "indians" ...etc. They noticed that languages changed in waves and that there was a pattern to the changes. I had a mythology professor who is fluent in farsi, dari and the many dialects of the pashtu, including even less known languages like pashai. Researchers like him were all under the suspicion that the proto-indo-european civilization was located somewhere in the caucasuses before it began to spread. Even certain motifs, and even the colors of modern national flags indicate the different bands or tribes of this old society that has survived.
It could be that the old fables are true. That Atlantis was destroyed and it's inhabitants scattered across the globe and some reminent of them travelled till they reached the Indians...as their records indicate...invaded the inhabitants of the land and became known as "aryans" or "nobles"...as the people of atlantis are said to have been technologically far more advanced, this would have been easy to do.

In any case...these are just theories. Personally, I don't think any of it will be proven true since no written records exists beyound 5000 years ago so it is difficult to tract human migration trends. Also, add to it the bogus theories of evolution that humanity began in africa and that too only 50,000 years ago and we are left thinking history to be linear and the world flat. Evidence from artifacts suggests that conscious humans walked the earth upto 200 million years ago even. However, the issue with carbon dating is also just as murky and geographical evidence that I have come across puts a different spin on the history of mankind. I don't endorse the belief that between, Adam (pbuh) and Noah there was a period of a few thousand generations. There is no evidence from the Quran or Sunnah that this is true. However most islamic scholars and even judaic and christain scholars tend to describe a history of humanity that spans only 5000 years.

Am not connecting anyone to anyone, just my thoughts. You expect me to not believe in god but follow your benighted religion of Gaytheism? I have a brain. Am sorry.

People believe that Atlantis might be an island of off Greece. And it was just about 2500 years ago when it got destroyed by natural causes. And for the Mayans, I remember learning that they were originally from India, and emigrated to Siberia, crossing over to Alaska, and they made their way to the Americas. for the "Aryans" I think people are over blowing their existence.

            GOE
as for the floods, I dont know. The all mighty has annihilate great civilizations of Ad, and Thamud; Godom and Somorrah, and Prophet Shoaib's people. These disaster took place only in their civilizations and not the whole world. The timeline between Adam, and Noah wasn't to long, including the fact that both men lived to be 900+ years.

              that is preposterous king khan!

There is no geographical evidence of a sunken island in the mediterranean.

As for Mayans being indians crossing alaska...that too is bogus. There is no merit to such a story... there is no genetical or geographical or even artifacatual evidence for such a far fetched theory. The only reason they were called "indians" was because columbus taught he had landed in india... It makes absolutely no sense at all...where did you learn this?

For your first sentence Minoan civilization - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia check under Minoan Demise Theories.

                For your second.
I learned it from the United States/ NY Public school system, in Social Studies. I still remember the lecture and the map we were shown on their movements.

Let's not derail this thread. Let's still discuss about the history of South/Central Asia, focusing on Pashtuns.

That was a good read, but I am still wondering. Most of the history was northern western, and central Afghanistan. I am more interested in the lands of modern day Eastern Afg/KP/FATA. Unless I missed something.
And the author says not much of the Aryan people are fully understood, then makes claims of this and that. But who the bloody hell are the Aryans? From which four original river valleys are they from? Mesopatamia? Indus? Yangtze? Nile? Of they didn't belong to either, were they cave men? All the prophets of god were either from these valleys. From Noah, to Abraham, to Moses. If Aryans are real, and Pashtuns decedents from them, what's it to be so pride full then?
If his hypothesis is correct with the Aryans being the first peoples of white stock, then Hitler was correct, in saying the Germans are originally white Aryans.

Are the Aryans, the peoples of the Ancient Persians? Where on earth did they come from? Like I said where they cave men?

The article was not good at all. It said the origins of Pashtuns are really unknown, but then go ahead and shove Aryan theory down our throats. In fact every writing about Pashtun history impugn (contradict) each others.

The Medes, arachaemenids, which goes to the Mesopatamians.

124,00 prophets were scattered all over. Yes I know, we know of a max 100 or something. The prophets before Jesus, were coming one after the other for thousands of years, even numerous in one timeline. You must not ignore the four ancient river civilizations, just for the idea of Aryans.

What are the Aryans, cave mens? They sure should like them in their descriptions. But I don't belief in cave mens.

The timeline between Adam, and Noah, isn't to long. And Noah was living in Mesopatamia. When were these Aryan cave men around?

We are too far by our thinking standards and I dont think you will believe anything I say.

You just search for a problem in anything provided to you so far!

Am not searching for a problem. The theory of Aryans goes against Islam. If they weren't from the river valleys, then they were what cave mens? Cave men go into darwins theory of evolution.

Iran comes from Aryan, according to "scholars". And Afghanistan was called Aryana, then were was the outcry when Persia changed their name to Iran(same name)? Why are Pashtuns called Afghans by Aryans (Iranians)? And why wasn't Afghanistan called Aryanistan?

If you ask alot of elders in Afghanistan, there going to say that Pashtuns, could be descendants of Bani Israel. But, all the "scholars" deny it, calling it a scam.

Am calling Aryans a scam, can someone ever say when these white Aryan men roamed central/ south Asia? Indus river civilization was around the same time even maybe before Egyptian. Were going back 5-6,000 years.

Pashtuns can be descendents of the exiled Hebrews. They might have mixed with the native Ghandari's, which makes modern day Pashtun.

Ghandara, was in modern day Pashtun territories of Afghanistan/ Pakistan.
