    so what are you implying to? which one of us has failed to carry yourself in a "dignified" manner?

    two years ago a mother of 5 was stabbed to death 36 times for the money she had made by juggling 3 jobs at one so she could have her children sponsored to canada. WHERE WAS GOD THEN? IF THERE IS ONE THING I HAVE LEARNED IN THE LAST 23 YEARS OF MY LIFE, IT IS THE FACT THAT YOU CAN NOT PRAY FIVE TIMES A DAY AND EXPECT GOD TO FLOURISH YOU LIFE WITH BLESSINGS. YOU GOTTA MOVE SOME ON YOUR OWN TOO...AND DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME OTHERWISE.

      What does that have to do with her being picked up?

      Where was God when the early Muslims were fighting for the sake of Islam? Why did so many die?

      God did not exist, when it was He who told them to go and fight for their religion?

        we were discussing how we put up with a negative situation, not giving each other ideas on how to be "picked up".

          Women of the past who have roamed this earth and who were protected by Allah was because their attire was proper and their conduct was dignified. Simple.

                It happens because you are inviting it, unconsciously as it may be.

                To respond to a pervert is as good as being stripped of one's dignity.

                Hadhrat Aisha (ra) was accused of something very horrific. How did she handle herself? Did she respond to them? No she did not.

                Hadhrat Mariam was accused of prostitution. What was her response? She kept calm and was collected.

                Allah comes to the aid of these types of women.

                    Allah says in the Quran: When an ignorant person approaches you, in this case an indecent man, to say: Peace!

                    Now, one does not need to say peace out loud, invoking Allah's help is also like saying peace. Continuously reciting durood sharif is the best form of invoking peace.

                        i have a problem with the devoting myself to a faith that can not provide me with the answers to the questions i ask. the other part of your post is still circling around the notions i addressed in my second reply to you.

                            these are some verse where Allah is guiding us how to conduct ourselves so that we come across as dignified. This is only with respect to speech:

                            [17:37] And walk not in the earth haughtily, for thou canst not rend the earth, nor canst thou reach the mountains in height.

                            [25:63] And the servants of the Gracious God are those who walk on the earth in a dignified manner, and when the ignorant address them, they say, ‘Peace!’

                            [31:18] ‘And turn not thy cheek away from men in pride nor walk in the earth haughtily; Surely, Allah loves not any arrogant boaster.

                            [28:55] And when they hear vain talk, they turn away from it and say, ‘Unto us our works and unto you your works. Peace be to you. We seek not the ignorant.’

                              Those sisters who have bunch of make up and who wear tight clothing have always be harassed. They don't follow proper Islamic injunctions.
