yes. It was in some discussion regarding atheism and how flawed the arguments for atheism are. And then qrratugai came along posting saying that richard dawkins is more convincing than quran.

The way you asked seemed like you believed it before asking ..and as you say its due to what you have been exposed to before hand right?

but either way ... it's good to actually see where the specific line was mentioned ..instead of jumping along the bandwagon about someone saying something that THEY MIGHT NOT HAVE SAID.

I never said she said it or didn't say it ..but before accusing someone about saying something, they should have proof of it being said.

I can debunk EVERY SINGLE argument by God-believers, so I wish they'd come up with more creative answers and points to make it easier for those of us who are convinced that God exists-- and I guarantee you that my concpt of God is very, very different from the typical concept we're forced to believe when we are being raised as Muslims.

And convincing to whom? To Muslims or non-Muslims? Or me specifically? If me specifically, I'm not sure if you're ready to hear my answer

Dawkin's arguments are still very, VERY convincing to me. It's theists' arguments I'm not convinced by at ALL. Most of their arguments don't even stem from the Quran, though. Still, I'm interested to know what 'arguments' the Quran poses for theism. 'Cause as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't believe in compulsion of religion :D

I'm completely against forced marriage, its a pity that this is common in Pakistan and in other muslim countries. I would rather I stay single than marry a girl whos been forced to marry me.

Sangar wrora, I highly respect you for your islamic contributions but what I don't agree with is your harsh rulings of people where you call others kafir, may they be or not who are we to decide that they are of the kufaar or not. Let Allah will deal with them on the day of judgment whatever they are. Why make ourselves kafir by calling others that?

Only looking out for a brother.

Iqra Jaaney, don't worry. Like I always say, when we can't refute a person's statement, we just make unfair assumptions about them, and we THINK that that makes us better for some reason when, in reality, it only shows how foolish and ignorant we ourselves are.

Let them say whatever they want. I still wait for a response to my question, but instead of admitting that they don't know the answer, all they can say is "you think Dawkins makes more sense than Zakir Naik!"

                        It's so innocent.

I am not harsh. I just observe facts of life. if someone promotes kufr, attacks islam, discredits our religious figures and spreads lies, am I suppose to say to that kind of evil person " dear brother in deen" or " dear sister in deen" ?

                          No.

Thank you, Sangar, for giving the links here. I was just about to search for them myself so that others knew what you were talking about. You saved me the time! Manana.

P.S. Sangar Jaana, if you're trying to show anyone that I'm atheist, you'll never succeed I've never said anywhere I don't beleive in God or that I'm a non-Muslim in any other way. So you should just stop trying. I'd never, EVER give you the pleasure of saying what you're dying for me to say, you see.

Even in the posts you've quoted me on, I've stated the obvious: Dawkins' arguments are very convincing, and all it takes is for you to read and understand them without being biased. It doesn't mean I think Dawkins is the best man on earth; it just means I find him to be someone with a compelling point of view. Would I fall for it? Not necessarily. Would I give him some thought? Yes, of course. As much thought as I'd give his opponents.

Now, can we get back to the topic of forced marriages? My questions are still not answered, and I'm interested . . .

I said you are a kaafir. Kufar know very well that god exists. But they rebel against him. Which is waht you are doing.
