I fail to understand why people like maiwand, al khabis and Afghanistan2010 expect non Muslims to be tolerant, respectful and understanding of them and their religion when they themselves have zero respect, tolerance and understanding for non Muslims themselves. Verily Allah says in Verse 8 of Surah Al Mumtahina regarding behaviour towards non muslims :

Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.

I agree major atrocities have been committed in the past and continue to be committed in the name of our religion. But that does not mean all Muslims are put in the same camp and treated disrespectfully.

I do not agree that it is right to give innocent Muslims a hard time just because of the atrocities of so called Muslims like Afghanistan2010 and shadowgovernors.

Having suffered bias and discrimination in Canada I say what is happening is that we-the liberals are being punished for the crimes of the terrorists. I was the head of a Nationalist Organization that suffered such bias. An entire Nationalist-not even Muslim-organization was assaulted in Canada just because we happened to be "Muslims"... at least most of us.

Revenge is a cycle as my book states. Someone has to try to eventually win over the other side with love and respect instead of eliminating the other with revenge. Non-Muslims risk alienating the Muslims even further if they try to repeat injustices of the Taliban and Al Qaeda... and lets not forget most of the Al Qaeda and Talibans injustices were on fellow Muslims (80% of their victims are Muslims)... The west should support the liberals in this critical time. Instead it is alienating the liberals. I have seen it with my own eyes. They put bugs and listening devices everywhere. They don't let any middle eastern or Pakistani organization operate.

Though it is also absolutely right that Muslims have to set their house in order first if they want to be respected in the world. That includes treating women and minorities fairly, giving their people rights and some form of dignity and also ensuring an unmatched justice system.
