But you know about Paktia? It used to be called loya Paktia (Greater Paktia) and it included even the present day Peshawar valley. So yours was not a sort of migration from your own land to the land of the aliens.

      • Even the word Pakhtun has been derived from the word Paktia.

        • ^Again i dont agree with you. the boundary of pashtuns was present day FATA not river indus. hindus were settled in present k.pakhtunkhwa. when mahmud ghaznavi massared local hindus, it opened the wave of migration of pashtun tribes from west to settle in already depopulated area thanks to the cruelty of ghaznavi.

But those hindus were no other people, they were Pashtuns. If you have heard of the battle between Mahmood Ghaznawi and Raja Jaipal, then you must know that Jaipal belonged to the Present day Sawat and he was a Pashtun.

Read Tareekh e Farishta and you will know that at the time of Ghaznawi's conquests many Pashtuns hadn't yet converted to Islam and they had fought against Ghaznawi.

Some were Zoroastrians (Zardasht), others hindus and also Bhuddists. But in my view religion wasn't a point of much conflict back then.

              • Historically Zoroatrianism seems to be the prior of the three among Pashtun/afghans.

Brother of mine, you are mistaken. The present day N Pashtunkhwa has been mentioned as 'Pakhtikha' or something of the sort by the Greek historian Herodotus in 340 BC. The Pashtuns are original, full and final, to this land.

About the religions: I believe the first organized religion amongst Pashtuns was the Zoarastrian religion. To this effect, Helamd is mentioned in Avesta as an early centre of Zoarastrian religion. We were Buddhists for sure. Pashtuns fought the Arab invaders in the 7th century and wholesale conversion took place in the times of Mahmud ye Ghaznavi.

We gave you Afghans refuge, and this is what we get? seriously? Tajikistan refused to give Afghans refuge we Pashtuns of Pakistan embraced you Afghans and now in response we are disrespected.

                        Long live Pak Army.
Lollz your Pak army killed more than 100 innocent pashtuns in Orakzai and Tirah...this is the army you want us to support? Me, Khyaal, and others here who are the most critical of Pakistan are from Pashtunkhwa, so don't lord anything over us. We owe you your army your state nothing.

We are Afghans as well, oh and btw unlike your baradar e muslimeen east of the attock, Afghanistan is hosting tribal area refugees. However they didn't close their areas to them or hold protests like when the Swat people needed it. We Pashtuns embraced them as they are our people, we did not do it for pakistan or pakistaniyath.

Well Son of Mountains, not all are like that. Second of all, Afghan is written on their identity cards/domicile, etc. Pashtuns know enough to know that Afghanistan is the Pashtun state. Hec I knew that even when I was studying pak studies (although they never mentioned these things).

You gain education from Pakistan, you eat in Pakistan. If it wasnt for Pakistan where would Afghans go? All the neighbors refused you guys.
Pakistani I am from Shangla, don't lord over this pakistaniyath to me. We in Malakand division know very well it was the army and ISI who were the culprits behind it. Even little kids there know. I eat in my ancestral homeland, I live in my ancestral land. This is not a gift from jinnah it was my land of my tribe before Muslim league were begging Britain for a little recognition.
