      No your claim of him [s] seeking refuge among jews and christians. If you mean the tribes aws and khazaraj. They had become muslim before the hijra. They had most of the control in medina.

      And abraham and ismail were not jews. Jews came from the 12 tribes of ishaq.

      Also. please do not say "mohammad". have some respect and say Allahs messenger [s] or nabi etc. But do not call him [s] by his first name.

              Marriage is the most beautiful part of your life, I can't wait to get marriged

              • Beautiful? It seems like signing a bad business contract that´s going to end terribly, and usually not in your favor. Plus it seems the purpose of marriage is to have children, which I´m not interested in.

                  • First and foremost being a Muslim should matter. I don't know from where did Pashtun and Non-pashtun things came from????

                    I hate it when some people give a higher priority to what culture says instead of what Islam says.

                    • ^ No, I wouldn't mind. As long as it's her will and her to be husband is a practicing muslim.

                      • ^ It is every individual's choice to select certain someone to get married. Either Pashtun/non-Pashtun. To the extent keeping it as one's choice it is fine. But when some people act or talk like it's a must thing to marry a Pashtun. It sounds so wrong.

                        Personally I would go according to this principle when I want to marry someone;

                        A Muslim first and foremost. No matter what culture she is from, what matters the most is her virtue.

                        • Its sad to say this, But I must so we can realize our mistakes and work on improving them as a community here but here we go. Superiority complex is something many Pashtuns are facing presently. As long as they are both happy and they both choose to learn about one another. Who are we to enforce cultural standards on them? If a Muslim girl wants to marry a Yemeni guy, And she is happy with it, Parents are happy with, everyone is happy with it. There should be no objections in her choice. Its her that is going to be living the rest of her life with him, Not us.

                          A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

                          For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

                          The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                            It may be because Islam and culture go hand-in-hand. The way Islam is practiced depends on where you live. And culture is undeniably an extremely important part of our lives, since we are what our culture has made us to be. In fact, for many people, it's THE life they live (I beleive culture is life; period. Some add that it's Islamic culture that's life, and I think that's open to discussion).

                            Also, lots of people appear to be good Muslims but in reality aren't. For instance, a Muslims' praying 5 times a day doesn't at all guarantee that she/he is a good Muslim, or a good human. For all you know, this person will have no respect for you, your family, her/his family, and other humans. So, often, just appearing means nothing.

                            But generally, it's just difficult and way too much work to live with someone whose culture and language you're not familiar with. Talk to people who've been in the situation. Perhaps for a Pashtun and a Persian it may not be as big a deal as long as they have at least one language in common, but for someone from, say, Bosnia, and another from, say, Sudan, there will be huge differences that might adversely affect the marriage. And then imagine if the couple doesn't speak the same language (I know 2 couples like this)! That's a disaster!
