Kunar is the only province where 99.9% people speak pashto. not many know Dari, most of our tajik brothers, need translators.

While my mother was in high school, she had to put herself down as 'Tajik' though. Because at that time, Sayyids were not recognized as their own group. I have been told that now they are considered their own, not Pashtun and not Tajik either. Though my mother's side has very much adopted their Pashtun lifestyle.....and have majority intermarried with them. Like i havent noticed them marrying anyone but other Sayyids or Pashtuns.

well if that's the case than there then no ones actually Pashtun, our ancestors all adopted the Pashtun lifestyle.

^ Which is why to be honest i think how people say Tajik percentage is close to Pashtun percentage is BS to me. Because before, if you were not Pashtun, then you fell under Tajik, making the Tajik percentage more. Whereas many were not 'ethnically' Tajik.
