Yes Pashai people live in the Eastern region.....I have a friend who speaks Pashai, its a beautiful language, though it sounds weird because its not like Pashto or Farsi.

You just confirmed my point we are not Israelites. We are a mixture. In fact, I am half Ahmadzai <ghiljay. Our ancestors invaded North East Afghanistan 150 years ago. And they married the women of their captives. Thats why many tribesmen of west paktia, logar and Ghazni have mongoloid eyes. So do I. And this mixture of races that happened 150 ago was the standard of affairs for thousands of years. We are very deeply intermixed with other people.

Pashtun tribes have 4 main things in common:

1 geographic approximiy to each other

2 Islam as religion

3 pashto language

4 Pashtunwali

1 geographically we inhabit an area where all ancient people have been through. Even the people who later became native Americans.

2 Islam united all people and made it possible to intermarry. Note the hadith of rasul allah sal allahu alayhi wassallam where he said that even if a Habashi black slave is your imam, you should accept him. This is why we have all sorts of people mixed among each other. We as muslims do not discriminate.

3 pashto language is domnant. Even Arabs such as the Muqbil tribe in Khost are totally Pashtunified

4 Pashtunwali has similarities to the Chechen unwritten code and Israelites laws. And at the same time some aspects of Shariah.

Concluding all these 4 points I can tell you we are unable to claim were are A unique race. Because we have many things in common with others.

The ahadith do not mention pashtuns or afghans. Neither do they mention pashto language or any particular tribe.

I am convnced that some tribes might be descendants of Israelites, but most are a mixture.

I do believ that the army of mahdi will rise from Khurassan.
