Yup, an Uzbek uncle and half-uzbek cousins, but they don't know a word of Uzbeki. They are only fluent in Pashto and can understand Dari.Originally posted by Subhan View PostDoes any one here have any Uzbek relatives?
I have some Uzbek ancestry as well.
My Dad's family is from Kunduz so I probably have Uzbeks somewhere in my ancestry. Hell! One of my uncles even looks like an Uzbek. Haha! My Dad always teases him and tells him he's adopted, :PTrue wisdom comes to each of us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us. - Socrates

My great grandmother was Uzbek, but her family didn't come from Shamal, they were settled in Urgun for a long time.Originally posted by pashtanajan View PostYup, an Uzbek uncle and half-uzbek cousins, but they don't know a word of Uzbeki. They are only fluent in Pashto and can understand Dari.

There are Yemenis who look more Pashtun than you, and that says a lot.

I would believe that first than you saying you're Pashtun; you're a minority who has an inferiority complex and wants to get in on the Pashtun cultural legacy :POriginally posted by KingOfAriana View PostI told you I am an eskimo. /sarcasm of.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
Yup! Are you a Momand too? Momands seem to be everywhere on the Internet, but I can't seem to find them in real life. :SLast edited by pashtanajan; 06-30-2012, 09:47 PM.True wisdom comes to each of us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us. - Socrates

The Uzbek language is pretty neat. It has a lot of Persian words, and I can catch a few phrases that I can understand. My grandfather can understand it and can speak it fluently, along with Hazaragi. He says it's not that difficult.Originally posted by حکیم خان اورګونی View PostMy great grandmother was Uzbek, but her family didn't come from Shamal, they were settled in Urgun for a long time.
