An overlap of Dari is sometimes used - kheiz/kheiz wahal.

In our dialect ghurzida means dance. When i came to peshawer for first time, the bus calander was asking me to jump and said 'halaka oghurza''. I was wondering why he is asking me to danceOriginally posted by DaZahroJaam View Postjump wahalo ta ghurzedal na waye. ghurzedalo ta kho tripping waye..thop wahal pa khpala khuwakha kegi kho ghurzedal na.

Jumping, in the Kandahari dialect, actually means ghurzaydal.
Ma ghurza = stop jumping.
I danced =Ma ishala wakra.
I am now jumping =Za wos ghurzama.
I tripped= Za washwaydalama.Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

That is so different. I do remember you once saying that if you were to start speaking in your dialect, not many would understand. If I was to meet a Kandahari, I'd make a fool of myself and rarely understand a word - no really. I mean, I would eventually figure out the differences if I saw someone jumping and you said ma ghurza, I could easily figure that out, but other things, I have to get my head around to learning Kandahari Pakhto.Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostJumping in the Kandahari dialect actually means ghurzaydal.

See, I would use prewatel for laying down. Learnt something new, thank you.
Note: when I use I when it comes to Pakhto language posts, it represents me alone, not my family, as I am certain they (having grown up and lived, wrote and taught Pakhto back home) know the alternatives.

As kandahari is original pashto so your word for tripping must be correct. yousafazis seems to have forget it and use ghorzida for both jumping and tripping.Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostJumping in the Kandahari dialect actually means ghurzaydal.
