Thank you so much for the explanation!Originally posted by Badlun View Postنوږ
You are confusing two different Pashto letters ږ called Ge which is a pure Pashto letter and used only in words which are pure Pashto not derived from other languages like Persian while ژ is a Persian letter shared with Pashto used in words where both hard and soft dialects have similar pronunciation like J .
Such words which have different pronunciation in the two dialects are written with the pure Pashto letters for uniformity in writing and every dialect user pronounce it as per his/her dialect.
Can you explain please what is the meaning of the word نوږ?
I didn't really confused these 2 letters, just I thought that if we take the Je dialect, will it be possible to use another letter here in this word or not. Because I saw sometimes that some people in Pakistan are spelling everything with Urdu letters. For example, instead of ګ they would write گ and so on...

This is the other way round. Pashtuns in Afghanistan use گ while in Pakistan they use it seldom. Now a days in both countries use of ګ is becoming popular. However you are right that many Pashtuns in Pakistan use Urdu letters for Pashto pure words like kha is written with Arabic Khe not Pashto khin.Originally posted by NiMade Olga View PostThank you so much for the explanation!

Thats great !
You replied very detailed answer.
kharsawalo; This word is found in your answer, I think this means "to sell".
and
Ta nawe che gul rawra : I think this means that you bring new (fresh) flower.
An other confusion:

Kharsawal is infinitive means to sellOriginally posted by aslam View PostThats great !

and
Ta nawe che gul rawra : I think this means that you bring new (fresh) flower.
An other confusion:
1. Pakhpal = automatic
2. akhpal = ?
kharsawalo is the oblique case of kharsawal
ta =you
nawey=new but I think it is NA+WEY , na means NO , wey is subjunctive form of wayal= to speak thus ta na wey = you did not say
gul=flower
rawrha=bring
so the sentence may means You did not say to bring a flower! It can be a question or an exclamation or irony as a figure of speech
Khpal means own or relative(relation)
pakhpal is pa+khpal, pa is preposition meaning on, thus literally it is On own or automatic
akhpal is a+khpal , a is a sound used for emphasis and one can say khpal or aklhpal which which means own or relative
hagha zama khpal dey=He is my relative (khpalwan is also used for relative)
da zama khpal kor dey=This is my own house.
akhpal akhpal kar kawai= (Every body) Do your own work(order or request)
mashin pakhpala band sho=machine stopped automatically
pakhpala kar der xa wi =Doing something(work) by one's own self is (always) very good.

Pashto Basic course discussion topic.
Good day to everyone
I got a bit confused - how to say "he is cooking"? I can't find the correct form of word 'cooking'
And how to say "and how can I sleep after this?" Is it "nor bya ba sanga ooda shooma"? Or somehow else?

''he is cooking'' = hagha pakhlay kawi or hagha pakhawi or hagha pakhawal kawi.Originally posted by NiMade Olga View PostGood day to everyone

In above sentences the red ones are nouns but with ''kawi'' it becomes a verb. the green one is pure verb for ''to cook''
for the second sentence
''aw za sanga oda keday sham''

Is it possible to attach audio.
Wow! That's detailed explanation, Thanks!
Well I am thinking there should be daily lesson for the very basic communication, if possible then please also attach audio.
Like the word I asked "Pakhpal", It's meaning and it's use in language through examples as you have done below is very interesting but is it possible to attach voice? as voice helps to articulate in a right way.

Jankhan, thank you so much!
Also, please, how to say "teach me swimming or else I will get drown"? Is it correct to say "obazi mata khayl ka" or there will be different words?
And how to say from "here to there", like for example in sentence "there is a long distance (long way) from A to B"
