  • Can God exist and not exist at the same time?

There are many who believe that God exists and there are many who believe God does not exist. Those who believe He exists present their case and those who don't also present their case.

How should one take their conclusions?

    1. Should one wait to see how many go one way or the other before making up their minds?
    2. Should one be part of those who set the precedences?
    3. Should one just conclude that for those who believe that God exist He exists; and for those who don't believe that He exists He does not exist?
    4. It is safe to say that they are both right?
For those who concluded that He does not exist, the matter is over. However, for those who concluded that He does exist there is dilemma: which God is the right God?

How does one conclude which God is the real God? Or are ALL GODS correct?

    What are you thoughts?

Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

Momin, for most people, the gods of the families that they're born into are the correct ones. That's why Hindus never cease to be Hindus and Ahmedis don't cease to be Ahmedis. Childhood indoctrination is strong. It's not easy for someone to leave Jesus especially since they were 'born into' the religion. Their religion becomes a part of their identity and they become very defensive about it.

My god is Bertrand Russel's Celestial Teapot. You cannot disprove its existence and therefore, it exists and through it, I get voices in my head upon which I act. Like so.
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

God and Man is a personal matter.

Its only when you place the unseen in charge of government and rule of law of the masses that results in choas and a whole army of Lucas Johnsons awaiting their turn to slaughter the heathens for a higher place in the heavens above.

        Kind Regards

So, in your opinion God does not exist, I take it?

Does that make their religion correct?

Is your god the true God? Can you please give us a description of your god.

The question is whether He exists or not?

In Arabic هو is used. Linguistically, هو also denotes neutrality.

                    I hear you.

I would also add that in order to be "accepted" among the "intellectual" "elite" they have suppress what they really believe, otherwise how on earth would they be considered reliable?

The purpose of this thread is to find out whether God exists and does not exist at the same time.

I wonder how people would be able to answer this question sincerely.

Why is this topic in the literature section? Doesn't it belong in the Religion section?

And we already have a thread titled "Does God Exist?"
