Thanks for your kind wordsOriginally posted by *Mahzala* View PostAmazing share. The gulaab jamaan look perfect, really. Share the recipe if you don't mind. My sister does those, I've never tried to be honest. I always help out, but from scratch myself, I've never attempted. Your kitchen is one worth visiting. And, everything looks so nice and clean. Khkaari che dera kha saliqa lare. =)
I can definitely get that recipe for you.. it is super easy and the ingredients are minimal. Give me a few days to dig up the recipe. I moved soon and most of my paperwork is still in boxes.

I use 3 parts wheat flour to 1 part whole wheat flour. The green is some chopped spinach.Originally posted by faye View Postjanana, what flour are you using for your roti and what is the green in them? just when i didn't feel like cooking, i see these pics. now i am hungry and have to make something.

Even if he does rewrite it, it's still barely understandable. Is it just the transliteration or the Pakhto you're having trouble with? Transliteration altered below:Originally posted by Janana View PostTranslation please! I can barely understand.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
-Ferishta, 1560–1620
