I will answer you from Hadith:

Narrated on the authority of Abu Darda:

Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, "Invoke many blessings on me on Friday for it is witnessed. The angels are present on it, and no one will invoke a blessing on me without his blessing being submitted to me till he stops." I asked whether that applied also after his death, and he replied, "Allah has prohibited the Earth from consuming the bodies of the prophets; so Allah's prophet is alive and given provision. [Sunan Ibn Maja Volume 001: Hadith Number 1627]

Hadrat Sheikh ‘Abd al-Haq “Muhaddith-e-Dehwli” states under the commentary of this Hadith that:

The Prophets of Allah are alive in their graves, “JUST AS THEY WERE ALIVE IN THE WORLD“[Ash’at al-Lam’at – Vol. 1 Pg. 576]

Sheikh Abdul Haq Muhadith dehlvi (rah) clarifies another important point, he states:

The Prophets are alive and everyone believes that they are alive; there is no disagreement in this. Their life (in their graves)”IS REAL, PHYSICAL LIFE (LIKE THEY POSSESSED IN THE WORLD)” not like the martyrs whose life is only spiritual. [Ash’at al-Lam’at – Vol. 1 Pg. 574]

It is a disservice to oneself and others to speak from emotion and personal opinion in matters of religion. When a question is asked, we should speak with facts or remain silent.

Emotion and opinion (and deceit) says the belief of the prophets' life after death is influenced by hinduism. Fact says it is based upon the words of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) himself, "The Prophets are alive in their graves, praying to their Lord."

Just as "Pakis" had Hindu ancestors, Afghans had Buddhist. To mock a people for the deeds of their ancestors is un-Islamic.

Again, emotion and opinion obscures facts. Long before "pakis" and "Raza khan brewli," Imams al-Bayhaqi (ra), al-Suyuti (ra), and others wrote works on the belief in the prophets' lives after death.

As for the teacher of Shaykh Ahmad Rida Khan ("Raza khan brewli"), he died many years after the brother of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad died. Shaykh Ahmad Rida Khan (ra) was one of the fiercest opponents of the Qadianis, and so any suggestion of a link is absurd.

Foot fetishes? SubhanAllah - where are our minds? There are several hadiths mentioning the Companions' kissing the blessed hands and feet of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace).

Just as Shaytan attempt to distance Muslims from their Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), he attempts to distance them from their scholars, who are the heirs of the prophets.

Belief in the Prophet's (Allah bless him and give him peace) life after death, loving him, honoring him, celebrating his birth and life, loving and venerating the saints and scholars of his umma, these are all vital traits of traditional Islam. These are not "Paki" beliefs and practices, they belong to Afghans, as they belong to all Muslims. Their opposite is what is foreign, to Afghans and Islam, and it comes to separate Afghans from traditional Islam and thus destroy them.

And how are we humans to know who Allah blesses so with this honor? Who to trust? Who to believe? Any Ali, Hamza, and Abdurrahman could claim such, no?

The question, which you have been avoiding, is, what is your thoughts regarding those who claim that Rasullulah (saw) is part of their congregation in Salah [some may even leave an "empty space" for him (saw)]?

Via report of it. Belief in a particular person's being thus honored is not such that a process for its verification be established.

Reread the thread and find where this question has been asked; then judge if it has been avoided.

I don't know any who claim such a thing. As to the belief that his being present is possible, there is nothing wrong with such a belief. Allah bless him and give him peace.

Vague, Mujib, VAGUE! Our religion is not based on vagueness, being so vague any could claim such honor! A blurred answer, an answer without precision, come on...

You just quoted a hadith saying the prophets are alive in their graves yet you say the claim of him (saw) being present is possible...

                mujib

when you say that the prophet sww is alive do you mean he is alive physically?

you say that there is no problem with him being present in Congregational prayer [barelvi believe that he is present in their prayer thats why they a leave an empty place for him sww] if so then what is the meaning of barzakh, or does it not apply to the prophets

I'm sorry, sister - what does the fact that "any could claim" have to do with the validity of the belief? Anyone could claim to have seen the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) in a dream; does that make seeing him in a dream impossible or belief in it impermissible?

And those who have reported it and explained it are not "anyone"; rather, they are some of the foremost saints and scholars of Islam.

And I also referred to the hadith of the prophets coming to Jerusalem to pray behind the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace).

Physically and spiritually. Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam writes in his answer:
The belief (Aqidah) of the mainstream Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah is that our beloved Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) and all the other Prophets are alive in their graves.

This life is physical and worldly (dunyawiyyah), and not just a spiritual one with the soul (barzakhiyyah), as the latter is common for all the people.
                    And he cites the hadith:
                    5) Aws ibn Aws narrates the Messenger of Allah as saying:

"Send salutations in abundance on me on Friday, as your sending salutations are presented to me. The Companions inquired: "How is it possible that you receive our salutations when your body will have been decayed? The Messenger of Allah said: "Verily Allah has made forbidden on the earth that it eats the body of the Prophets" (Recorded by Abu Dawud, Nasa'i, Ibn Majah, Darami and others, and authenticated by many, such as Ibn al-Qayyim).

I'm not sure I understand the question, brother. Barzakh refers to the life between the worldly life and qiyama.

                      salam brother

but the quran says that every soul shall taste death, muhammad sww was buried just like every other human who dies but you are telling me that he is alive both physically and speritually.. how can he be physically alive when we already know that he sww died

how will you explain these verses

You (O, Muhammad) will surely (die and ) they too will die". (Zumur-30)

"We appointed immortality for none before you. So, if you die, will thy be ever living? Every soul has to taste death".(Al-Umbia-34-35)

                      "Everything shall perish save Him".(Al-Qasus-88)

Then, after this, you shall surely die. Then on the Day o Resurrection only you shall be raised ." (Al-Momninoon-15-16

the idea that any one will be raised alive in the grave before the day of judgement contradict that last verse, doesn't it?

there are also ahadith that testify to muhammad sww being dead

Nothing occurred to my mind except that. "He said, "Verily! Allah will resurrect him and he will cut hands and legs of some men. " Then Abu Bakr came and uncovered the face of Allah’s Apostle (S.A.W.) kissed him and said, "Let my mother and father be sacrificed for you, (O Allah’s Apostle), you are good in life and in death. By Allah in Whose Hands my life is, Allah will never make you taste death twice. " Then he went out and said, O oath-taker! Don’t be hasty

''Allah will never make you taste death twice'' doesn't this mean that Allah will not revive Muhammad sww in the grave to make him taste death again, because if we believe that he sww is alive physically then that would mean that he will have to die again.

i don't see how that hadith could be used to say that muhammad sww is alive in a dunyyawi sense, please explain to me

why does he have to be alive for us to send him salutations in the first place Allah is the hearer of all things why cant he convey our salutations to his beloved sww

are you trying to say that muhammad sww chose the company of the worldly people rather than that of Allh JJ and his companions that went before him or those that were going to follow him so that he can listen to our salutations

                        740. Narrated Aysha (R.A.): When the Prophet (S.A.W.) was healthy, he used to say, "No soul of a prophet is captured till he is shown his place in Paradise and then he is given the option. (1) When death approached him while his head was on my thigh, he became unconscious and then recovered his consciousness. He then looked at the ceiling of the house and said, "O Allah! (with) the highest companions. " (2) I said (to myself), "Hence, he is not going to chose us. " Then I realized that what he had said was the application of the narration which he used to mention to us when he was healthy. The last word he spoke was, "O Allah ! the highest companion. " (the translation of Bukhari Vol. V pages 527-528

There's also a hadith that says send salam to me and your salams are returned. This is what you do when you visit the blessed prophet SAW.
to keep digging into this issue is almost a disrespect to our beloved prophet SAW. The Ahlal Sunnah Wal Jammah have their view, the wahabis have theirs, the shia have their own.

the reason why Sufis want to make people believe that the prophets are physically alive is because they can go about telling dumb people that the prophet sal allahu alayhi wasalam visits them and tells them who to vote for during the elections (Benazir Bhutto in pakistan and Kharzai in Afghanistan).

This is all part of a scam by these evil sufi mullahs who want to keep the masses stupid.
