Sister, he was not an ordinary man, and his life, even before his prophetic mission commenced, was not ordinary. His life was blessed and full of miracles since birth and even before that (Allah bless him and give him peace).

He told us that he and other prophets are different when it comes to death. The Qur'an Majid tells us that martyrs are different: they are alive, not dead. And the prophets are greater than the martyrs.

We must learn Islamic beliefs about the life of barzakh. Read The Prophet in Barzakh. Also, an excellent book on this subject is The Prophets in Barzakh by Shaykh Muhammad ibn `Alawi al-Maliki (ra).

What sort of question is this? Allah Most High is alive; would someone ask why He doesn't save us from them?

Mujib Khana, in your own words, please explain to us what he is still doing alive?
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

ignore these pakis, they use to be hindu's not long ago. This belief is nothing but an extension of their ex-hindu beliefs kicking back in.Re-incarnation and all that... This lunacy became prevelant by an indian called Raza khan brewli whose teacher was the brother of the false prophet - you might've heard of qaddiyani's. Yeah, those bunch of weirdos. That's why people just label them brelwis.

        Anyway, to remove all doubt...

It was Abu Bakr (RA) that stood up and proclaimed, "Whoever was worshiping Muhammad,(SAW) know that he is dead. But whoever is worshipping ALLAH, know that ALLAH lives and never dies." He then quoted a verse from the Qur'an:

"Muhammad is but a messenger, messengers have passed away before him. Will it be that, when he dieth or is slain, ye will turn back on your heals (to unbelief)? He who turneth back doth no hurt to Allah, and Allah will reward the thankful." [Qur'an 3:144]

If anyone continues to argue to with this, then they are deluded.

They also have other weird practices like foot fetishes and kissing their scholars feet.

        proof you may ask?

        See below.

Oh and they also do marches to celebrate the prophets birthday (despite none of the companions ever doing so -these clowns clearly think they know more than them?). In Birmingham they carry an empty chair on their shoulders during the march and say the prophet is sitting on it. (taubah)

I know, its crazy. completely nuts. Some very weird people in this world.

Sadly some pashtuns have fallen for their cheap slap up meals which they use to entice people, and after having visited a few of their mosques, realizing they give curry-on-tap, they've also adopted their backward thinking so that they can get their hot aloogan served up and washed down with coke. Just look carefully in this thread, they are very easy to spot, they stick out like a sore thumb.

I don't think many here understands what is meant by "alive" here. Alive in the above context doesn't mean being alive biologically. Alive here means that the Prophet (SAW) can "see" his ummah, and their amaals. I will quote the Aya regarding this matter of "watching" from Quran as soon as I remember which Aya it is.

When Muslims speak of the Prophet being "alive," we're referring to him being alive in another manner that's unlike our present form of living

There's no doubt that al-Janaazah was done on the Prophet and than he was buried. The Sahaabah themselves testified to this as a whole and it's undoubtedly true by means of consensus. They didn't bury him alive if we took the narrations literal! No sane person, even a Sufi, would deny it

This form of life cuts the Prophet off from having any physical contact or giving spiritual assistance to the whole world

There are four arrangements of life, one is in the womb, one is in the world we live in, one is in the grave (Barzakh) and finally the resurrection. In this degree, when we discuss Messenger of Allah being alive, we're referring to the life between ours and the resurrection. This life doesn't allow the Prophet from helping us in way shape or form

You can read Surah al-Mu'minoon verse 100

I don't think the Prophet(pbuh) can see us. Please show the aya that you are talking about.

                  Tell me one thing
Are Barelvis found only in Pakistan? Whats up with you guys I can't understand you why and how is Pakistan responsible for this sect I have already asked this question not answered?

And yes that was I guess Peer Pugara sitting and someone was kissing his feet or something like that. This culture of touching the feet is vary much there in Jagerdaar families. Even some Pakhtuns I have seen that when they show respect to some elders they bow down. And this peer mureed thing is vary much common in Pakhtunkhwa too.

So just to make it simple and clear this is not practiced only in Pakistan. Pakistan is not responsible for this in any way. And this is just another sect of Muslims found all over the world.

Exactly, with the exception that not every human being prays in their graves and other things that are mentioned specifically about the Prophets of Allah (excluding the false prophets)

There are many people who misunderstand the Prophets being alive and commit many different forms of Shirk due to them overstating the reports. Most of these people are from the Sufiyya and Ahl al-Tassawuf

How can he pray in his grave when he is in the state of barzakh? Are you not supposed to prostrate towards Mecca? How can someone do that when you are buried with your head facing Mecca and you are flat on your back with your face facing up? And, what is else is mentioned about the Prophets of Allah when they are dead?

As mentioned the Prophet being alive isn't in a worldly, physical sense, this also means his prayers are not in that manner either. Everything should be looked through this basic principle

There are only a couple of authentic reports about what's exclusive to the Prophet alone, many are either fabricated or unauthentic. Therefore we can say that our salutations upon him are conveyed to him by the Angels, the Prophets body, and all Prophets in general, don't decompose and the Earth is forbidden from spoiling them, his rizq is given to him and he, including the others, pray

You might hold that opinion, but if you are not able to articulate it, then what does that say about your belief?

That said, your answer has no grounds, just mere opinion. You have to be able to prove what he is doing alive.

As far as salutations (durood) is concerned, that is a subject on its own and has no merit on him being alive.

The Prophet(pbuh) was the greatest man that ever lived. He is the only human being that has no black clot on his heart (it was removed when he was born). Essentially, the Prophet(pbuh) was the perfect example of how we all should be. Everyone else has this clot on the heart (all of us have it). Even the great scholars of our time have it.

He died a physical death (like all of us will). Attributing eternal life to him is akin to idolatry, and should be stopped.
