dreamer, it was to lead her own familly not a mixed public congregation
''
This Hadith is to be found in Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Sunan Abi Dawud and other Hadith sources. It presents the following narration:
The noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), along with his Companions, would go to visit Umm Waraqah (ra) at her home on the day of Friday. When the noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) announced his decision to go to war at Badr, Umm Waraqah (ra) humbly requested, “Grant me permission to go to war with you. I will look after the sick and wounded. Maybe Allah (most high) will honour me with martyrdom.” The noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, “Stay at your home. Certainly Allah (most high) will grant you martyrdom.” For this reason she became known as Shahidah (female martyr) from then on.
She requested permission from the blessed Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that if someone could perform the Adhan in her home. (Perhaps she had difficulties in determining the times of Prayer, or wished to gain blessings from the Adhan, as she did not request permission for performing the Imamah). Eventually, the noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) appointed an old man as a Mua’dhdhin (caller to the Prayer) for her and also granted Umm Waraqah (ra) permission to lead her household in Prayer. Umm Waraqah (ra) had already informed her male and female slave that they would go free upon her death. But this slave and slave-girl, during the Caliphate of Umar (ra), by strangling Umm Waraqah (ra) martyred her. Thus, in compliance with the prophecy of the noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), she died as a Shahidah in her own home.''
no where does in the history of the ummah any woman lead a mixed Congregational prayer specially outside of her own family members
''pray as you see me praying'' there is no reason to invent new methods of prying

That's a very long question, perhaps if I had more time, I'd respond a bit more, but I doubt you'd really listen to what I'd say anyway.Originally posted by BehavedMaseed View PostWhat benefit does being a Alima or a Imaan bring to Society and Humanity?
If a Female becomes a Doctor atleast she is helping Humanity regardless of being shia, jew, christian, buddist etc.
She's building her place in Jannat and helping others to do so. You can educate yourself all you want, but how much of what you learn will go with you beyond the grave? Doctors/education are of course important and useful to this world, and are greatly needed. However, so are (actual) Alims, who play a constructive and meaningful role in (an Islamic) society.
She's not a feminist? From what I have read and had come to believe, she was. I stand corrected, and I shall read into it when I get the time. Although, just because she doesn't claim to be one doesn't mean that she isn't.Originally posted by Qrratugai View PostInteresting ... you know she doesn't refer to herself as a feminist, right? In fact, you should read up on her response to folks who call her a feminist.
Ah yes, I never previously gave you an answer; truth is I wouldn't be able to best say the *exact* definition of a feminist, you have also somewhat enhanced my understanding of them. And that again brings me to ask ... what's your definition of feminist or feminism?
Admin Khan and I were having a very interesting discussion on this yesterday.
The simplest way I can put it, is that Feminists are those who advocate and support thier ideas of rights for women.

Guley you cant blackmail people with the so called what use will it be beyond the grave as if Islam has invented Death.Originally posted by Guley View PostThat's a very long question, perhaps if I had more time, I'd respond a bit more, but I doubt you'd really listen to what I'd say anyway.

Death has been around since the evolution of Mankind.
I hear this typical banter from Mullahs, that what is the point of studying gentic studies because you die and what use will it be beyond the grave?
You think in the grave, a snake and scorpion and an angel is going to come and question you and a snake will bite you and scorpion will sting you if you dont say the Shahadat?
Its not about how much we take beyond the grave its about HOW MUCH WE LEAVE FOR THE REST OF HUMANITY TO BENEFIT.
These Moral codes invented by Arabs and their blind followers the Muslims have benefitted nobody and no society, What is a Islamic society eh? The taliban, the kingdom of Saudi? you live in the UK, most of Muslims in the UK follow their own version of Islam to suit the modern secular state of the UK, they erase all the harsh parts of Islam to avoid discrimination.
Islam is all about dominating the world by force!
Kind Regards

There are certain things Allah has ordained men to do, and certain things for women to do. To each is their reward as Allah says in Surah Nisa: And wish not for the things in which Allah has made some of you to excel others. For men there is reward for what they have earned, (and likewise) for women there is reward for what they have earned, and ask Allah of His Bounty. If a woman's voice is considered her awrah, she is not encouraged to mingle with men, the reward for her praying at home is better than of performing it at the Masjid, she has biological differences in the sense that he has at least seven to ten days off every month from her Ibadah, she has children to attend to, a household to take care of, a family to feed, how can that woman lead a community into prayer? You don't even need religious sources to answer this question for you. It is pretty straight forward, or so I think.

In the era of Hazrat Muhammad SAW, women were allowed to come into Masjid and attend Munz with Jamat. Later on in the era of ****an-e-Azam Hajjaj bin yousaf, it was eliminated.Although stupid Mullahs blame for Hazrat Umar (R.A) for this change, but its wrong as it was Hajjaj. I know that stupid Mullahs blame Hazrat Umar (R.A) for every nonsense changeBarking Dogs Seldom Bite...!

Praying lmunz in jama'at and leading the jama'at (to men) are two different things Son of Mountains. Of course, although there are many debates over this, the permissibility of women attending the Masjid is evident in many Ahadeeth, but leading the males in prayer is frowned upon. Women, as others have said, can lead each other in prayer, but taking the responsibility of being at the head of a Masjid and the like, doesn't quite work for women, for many reasons.

Its man's hegemony to disallow women to become Imam. This mental slavery must be removed by women of this age. Future is the time of women to haunt over the society, not men.Barking Dogs Seldom Bite...!
