I think humans need meat or at least a substitute of meat. Even chimpanzees, who we thought they were vegetarians, eat meat.

[QUOTE=khushal;822497]They avoid beef, but not chicken. Actually eating chicken its a common Muslim "trait" in India. Even in Bollywood´s films you can see how this is something that differentiates Muslims from Hindus:Originally posted by Insight View PostMost of the upper class have always ate beef and meet. But the vast majority of south asians did not over many generations. Even muslim Indians avoid meat.
Yes, I have heard of this which is why I said that the food we eat today is not the food our grandparents ate. Not just meat but plant based foods as well.
Beef is injected with hormones but it is not practical to inject chickens with hormones since each chicken has to be injected 3 times a day but they do have antibiotics in them. Cattle on the other hand are injected one time in the ear and it slowly goes into their bodies.
What you say about Milk injected with estrogen is actually a Vegan "propaganda." Milk has estrogen in it naturally since most of the milk we drink come from pregnant cows and also the milk we get from our mothers also have estrogen in it. The US does inject non-steroidal hormone bovine
somatotropin in dairy cows.
But European beef is not injected nor is the organic beef here in the States.

Southern Europeans have high quality lamb too. Still Afghan lamb is way better. No dombe, no party.Originally posted by maneatinglizard View PostThis is so true.
My dad always use to tell me how much better the food tastes back home, but we always chalked it up to nostalgia and wouldn't believe him. But when I actually went there and tasted the lamb, the difference was obvious.
Lamb in America is nasty. Over there it's actually pretty good."For thirty years, I endured much pain and strife,

It's because the oamb here has a strange and gamey smell. So it never cooks right. Also, lambs here are genetically modified, some are even grown in incubators. That affects things considerably, their diets are completely different.
Organic Lamb tastes different than regular commercial lamb.
Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

The FDA has not approved genetically modified animals into the human food supply. Lambs in the US are injected with hormones and antibiotics and they look different from the lambs back home so they are a different breed.Originally posted by Iblis_Efreetzai View PostIt's because the oamb here has a strange and gamey smell. I can't stand the lamb here. I thought I just hated lamb, but the lamb in Europe and Asia isn’t bad.

the creator has made life on the planet has been made in such way that everything is in perfect equilibrium/or balance each other out at all times.Originally posted by Elias View PostI think humans need meat or at least a substitute of meat. if all humans stopped eating meat, this could potentially put the system out of balance.

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but the world is pretty out of balance, especially. with meat eating as a major factor in global warming and environmental issues in general.
I don't think this balance/equilibrium is always just a given. I do believe that some sort of balance exists in nature, however, i don't think it is just automatically gets that way.
Let's stop giving Insight flack about being Vegan ....he never said we had to be Vegan
I Doubt that he's going to:
a.) Become Hindu
b.) Get de-androgenized like Indians have ....they are many factors for why they're very LOW-T
c.) Get into poor health. I think he's going to make conscientious decisions about nutrition.Last edited by Iblis_Efreetzai; 05-14-2018, 01:42 PM.

No one is giving flack to insight about anything. He asked us what we think and we are telling him what we think. Everyone is free to eat what they want but his thoughts about estrogen and man boobs related to the consumption of meat and dairy are false.

Granted, but people who are responding to him are also making some over-exaggerated/erroeneous and unsubstantiated remarks. Sure we can find data on Indians, but would the same results necessarily apply to other races? Maybe on somethings like nutrition deficiencies, but there's ways to address that.Originally posted by khushal View PostNo one is giving flack to insight about anything. Its hard to know how all this effects societies over generations. We can live on just meat and we can live on just vegetation but if we look at nomadic societies who mostly ate meat vs agricultural societies ie Bedouins vs Nile Valley, the Tigris and Euphrates Valley societies, The Kuchi vs the Indus Valley societies, northern native Americans nomads vs the Mayan people. Historically Northern Europeans relied mostly on meat and dairy consumption while southern Europeans ate more vegetation. We can conclude that the societies that relied on meat consumption are stronger and taller than their counterparts who mostly ate vegetation.Originally posted by Iblis_Efreetzai View PostGranted, but people who are responding to him are also making some over-exaggerated/erroeneous and unsubstantiated remarks. Good Point!Originally posted by Elias View PostMy parents say the same thing like lamb here is not comparable to afghan lamb. Maybe it's due to the lamb breed. Afghan lambs are fat tailed compared to western breeds.
Since Turkey is copying everything Western(and importing), the food here has no taste at all. I mean if you eat it raw, you don't really get the natural taste as back home.
Chicken/meat, when cooked has very bland taste.
The fruits here are also bland, either sweet or not sweet. Even many fruits are seedless(like oranges).
Lemons are unusually big, with less sourness and more water.
Vegetables are completely tasteless. Etc.. Etc..
Btw Turkish people use way too many spices than we do, while saying they don't know spices!
So yea everything back home is perfect, unless our people get too greedy for money.
