You do realize that afghans hate hindus. The current afghan gov is not of the people. It is created, funded, and protected by a foreign power. How can you say that such a gov represents the afghan people?Originally posted by ANAcommander View PostThe problems of your nation are not on Pakistan. We are not your daddy or pedar jaan or whatever you want to call it. And the cheek, the absolute cheek of you. We are demolishing Afghan houses in our deserts? We have hosted enough and for so long, but still you people are ungrateful. Maybe you Afghans should have gone to Iran where you receive a warmer welcome.
You want to be buddies with India. Fine. That is your choice. But why should you expect us to be okay with this? Make friends with whoever you want, talk down on Pakistan, but do you expect us to tow your line of thinking? You don't want to cooperate, that's fine, but why should we be expected to?
I guess there will always be hate, mistrust, and lack of communication. But we have laid down our terms very clearly.
You refuse to listen to our needs. You choose hindustan, so we are not obligated to your government. I feel we have been more than kind enough.
And please do not bring up history. Your own people invited the soviets. Your own people fought against them. We merely provided support, and homes to millions of refugees. All we asked for was to not be back-stabbed by you regarding India. Your government did not and still refuses to deliver.
And why are you advancing the fear mongering that your pak military promotes which is why your country is stagnating in progress. Why did the pak military put up imran khan to stage protests against nawaz sharif when he(nawaz) wanted to create a NAFTA like trade agreement with India and afghanistan and the pak military threatened him with a coup if he did not back away from it.

That is not true. More than 40 years ago, a female sociologist discovered a tribe where women were raised to play the role that men do in the majority of societies today. These women were breadwinners and in charge of running societies and living to the standards that are only acceptable for men to live by in a typical society. She concluded that women are only emotional and less aggressive and violent not because they are formed that way biologically but because that's how society teaches them to be. The largest and mostly examined example of this was in mouso, China back then but you can find dozens of such societies across the globe today.Originally posted by khushal View PostAll human societies on the planet are patriarchal you dumbshyt.

This is a gross simplification of a MATRI-LINEAL society as opposed to true Matriarchy. Jews for instance are also Matri-lineal. There have been multiple discussions on this revisionist history that set the record straight and the most recent work which I actually studied in detail in college was by Cynthia Eller entitled:Originally posted by DaZahroJaam. The Myth of Matriarchal Prehistory
Even the society you mention was discussed in detail inThe Inevitability of Patriachy by Steven Goldberg where he stated that studies showed that even the Mouso were not UNAMBIGUOUSLY Matriarchal.

Additionally, look into how that tribe evolved Matrilinealism.... they were actually initially a patriarchal peasant society wherein nobility IMPOSED Matriarchy and matrilinealism to avoid threats to their feudalistic power. So to think that you are celebrating this as some sort of "proof" of inherent human matriarchy that has been subverted is hilarious and ironic since it was an imposition to actually keep the farm hands in lin ----> that contrived system is by its own nature a subversion.Originally posted by DaZahroJaam. Additionally, testosterone's role and the behavior XYY defect births where there is hyperaggression or even the strength calibration and aggression of female body builders caught doing anabolic steroids is yet another practical scientific example of why men are by nature endowed with greater muscle mass on average and had aggressive traits.

Beats me. Question at hand wasn't whether matriarchy benefits society more than patriarchy does. Question at hand was whether he was right or wrong with his claim of all societies in the world having been, or are entirely patriarchal. I know that a lot of people in here have me confused for a radical feminist but the matter doesn't concern me enough to waste my time over proving myself otherwise to anyone. I believe in the power and determination of the individual and that is good enough for me to live by. Besides, look at how well they have flourished through out history..(sarcasm, a lot of sarcasm)
Perhaps, had women not been raised under the circumstances that they were raised through out history, they too would have evolved to exhibit the biological traits that put men in advantage in comparison to women.

While the preachers intent is good, Shamlawars labeling this as a buying and selling scheme is incorrect. As I speak to pashtuns of other regions, I have found that pashtunwali or other aspects of our culture is not as similar as I once thought. In our region of Paktia, when the boy's family is asking for a girls hand in marriage and the girls family accepts, the girls family puts conditions for the marriage to proceed and this includes for the grooms family to provide jewelry, clothing, and cash(in the past cash was not used instead livestock or land was used) and some families use the cash on their daughter and others keep it in their pocket in addition some families spend more than what is given to them by the groom for their daughter. This depends on the family.Originally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View PostThis pretty much summarizes all the evils of Pashtun culture: https://www.facebook.com/historicafg...11786/?theater
My own theory is that this cultural practice evolved to protect the girl since historically many societies were killing of girls when they were born since the female baby was considered a liability and the male baby was considered an asset. If there is an incentive for a man to ask for land or livestock when marrying off his daughter, that man would look at his daughter as an asset as well just as he looks at his son.
We all know what is happening in India were the cultural practice is for the girls family to provide all expenses for the wedding which puts huge liability on the girls family where it leads for the family to look at girls as a huge burden rather than an asset as sons are: Here is the consequences of such practices:

You claim to be Zazi, I know many from Aryob who've told me nobody can marry a woman from their tribe for less than one truck. This is why many of their men get engaged and spend sometimes 5 to 10 years working like slaves in Arab countries.
This is common practice among all Pashtuns and the purpose of this is not to protect the women. It is done because fathers and brothers see womens as a commodity. They sell their own flesh and blood to get money or a huge truck they can use to as a business investment.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. Your people **** on us for your misfortune, but at the same time come to our country, open successful businesses, move drugs/weapons, and smuggle. We never had a problem with it, because we thought they are our Afghan brothers. It would have continued like this too, but when TTP being supported by NDS, killed and maimed our children in Peshawar, we stopped giving a ****. Collectively, we stopped giving a ****.
This is the result you see today, and unfortunately innocent Afghan refugees are being sent back to Afghanistan.
At the same time your NDS is plotting with the Indians to cause damage to our nation, which also holds more than 3 million Afghan refugees. Your elites are just as corrupt as ours, but the idea of your government trying to hurt us does not sit well. Your NDS helped TTP kill 150 children in a school. We understand common Afghan person was not involved, but your government was.
I used to know a girl that I would buy ice cream for because she had no money. When her family would come to meet mine, she would say that I never bought her the ice cream, after my grandfather gave me money for both of us. She would end up getting an extra kulfi.

It was Marx who thought that "the market" sees all human beings as commodities which is why he theorized that the last stage for human social evolution was marxism, socialism, communism or whatever you want to call it since he thought that only then are human beings decommodified.Originally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View PostYou have a problem of denying unpleasant reality.

While the truth is unpleasant, all human beings are commodities and since humanity is patriarchal, women are second to men and this is more true in tribal societies since women are regarded as property of men.
You missed my point entirely by incorrectly thinking that I am trying to manipulate the truth. My point was an explanation of how this culture came to be. Sons are also considered as commodities in pashtun culture, when wars break out, fathers send out their sons as sacrifices for the honor of the family or bring back bounty to increase the family's wealth and nations do the same thing on a larger scale by sending out their sons as sacrifices to defend the homeland or increase their homelands wealth.
The vast majority of pashtun marriages are to cousins or extended cousins. I am from Aryob and when families are sealing the engagement, they ask for jewelry, clothing and what we call "dunya" which is a monetary sum and poor families ask for little while wealthy families ask for more and other factors like alliance, family prestige, reputation of the family. I know many families who dont even pay the "dunya" telling the brides family that he will pay when he gets a chance and is forgiven since they are all kin anyways. No one has to work for 5-10 years to get married. Most of what your saying is exaggeration.

Two wrongs don't make a right.
I remember very specifically a conversation we had regarding Pakistan Army a month or two back, where I told you my honest views. So I don't understand why you are all of a sudden foaming at the mouth, and have been talking **** non stop about "Pakis" over night.
