I would also like to know Muslim-Pashtuns' opionion on Atheist-Pashtuns.

Pashtuns did exist before Islam.

Yes Pashtuns did exist before Arabs and their Islam.

But Pashtuns WERE still following the one God almost 2000 years before savage arabs who lived on desert worshipping the moon, stones, etc and ate lizards for lunch.

If you check Pashtunwali and most traditional Pashtun ways that is almost 5000 years old, you can see how many of these resemble and are written in Qur'an.

Its easy to seek the truth and just look at history where the first civilisations was born. And arabs are not even near that.

The most I can find about the religion prior to the arrival of Islam is:
People followed Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Hinduism.



I tend to think Pashtun were godless. Because nobody actually knows what did Pashtun exactly practice prior Islam.
Unless somebody can tell me more about it.

And if they did follow one of those religions, wouldn't it contradict with pashtunwali?

I think Manicheanism or Mandeanism may have been possible dominations among Pre-Islamic peoples

Since it infuses Buddhism , Gnosticism and Zoroastrianism.
