Boko haram and inactivity of muslim leaders

Because I actually care about Muslims. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

i believe muslims did 9/11, kidnapped girls, blow up schools in pakistan, and so on and so forth. if any of these muslims commit crimes against fellow muslims, i say off with their heads.
the thing is that these things are a drop in the bucket compared to what the "good guys" have done. for example, it is said half a million children died under western sanctions against iraq from 1990-2002. HALF A MILLION. let that sink in for a minute. this is just one of many examples of silent genocide. a french soldier is killed in france and is called islamic terror but when france has murdered hundreds of thousands of north africans before the age of twitter and facebook, then it is a footnote of history which is rarely referenced.
but no, its muslims who should be apologizing for groups they neither finance with taxes or have voted into positions of leadership. its muslims who should feel guilty of association by reason of faith because the action of boko haram or whoever. gimme a break.
where are the americans that are apologizing for their governments support of regimes that wipe out thousands of muslims without batting an eye? show me an american who is sorry for their governments support of the murder of muslim egyptians among muslims in other nations.
muslims are capable of evil and this is nothing new in history and the same goes for western interests reacting toward such. no american celebrity is talking about darfur anymore now that sudan split, i am sure this school girl drama is what the george clooneys will rally towards today.
muslims would have cause hiroshimas and nagasakis x50 to reach the depravity that the western world caused in just the last 100 years.Last edited by randolph85; 05-10-2014, 02:30 AM.There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Be careful Randolph, talking like that might piss the other moderators off and get you stripped of your title. But I applaud your straight forward talking unlike the others that are either scared or sold out.----------

groups like Boko Haram are not muslim to begin with, I mean who in the right mind will support these groups? Also I believe the girls are actually muslim girls, because their parents were defiantly dressed like muslims in the interviews
I wish there was a muslim army itself which will take out these types of groups, who claim to be fighting for Islam, yet are doing completely opposite

I dont believe in the official media version of 9/11 nor do I believe anything coming out of western media 100%, however the problem of extremism and terrorism is very real in the muslim world, which is eating up muslim societies from inside, to deny that part of it is really stupid and dangerousOriginally posted by Al Hanif View PostI feel sorry for you Americans.
Being obliged to pretend you believe in the official version of 9/11 because if you don't you'll be vanned by the FBI and the NSA is really sad.
I think a median has to be reached by muslims, we dont really need to listen to westerners or their media, we dont have to care for them and what they say. However to counter this, we should act to fix our societies before they totally crumble out of existence. Unfortunately we are very lazy and mostly turn a blind eye on most of the things happening in our part of the world. Why can't we try to fix the problems in our part of the world, before westerners start accusing us and insulting Islam? why do we need outsiders to tell us what to do?

Solution is stop reacting to what westerners say and start acting on fixing ourselves. It's not a easy fix of course, there are many things that need to be done, but we have to start somewhere. The disunity among muslims is the biggest problem. That is the first thing that needs to be taken care off, it is a must. Hopefully that will create some sort of a chain reaction in to fixing other problemsOriginally posted by Al Hanif View PostWhat is your solution ?

OK. So what are you going to do practically to stop the disunity among muslims ?Originally posted by Karachi View PostSolution is stop reacting to what westerners say and start acting on fixing ourselves. it's not only me who has to do that, each and every single muslim has a responsibility.Originally posted by Al Hanif View PostOK. So what are you going to do practically to stop the disunity among muslims ?
First of all we have to look at all the causes, what is causing so much disunity and try to bring solutions accordingly
Myself I am working with few friends here in Canada and we are looking at every problem in the muslim world and always try to come up with solutions. Of course we have to implement these solutions at a much larger scale to make anything happen. Media is a very important tool muslims can use to promote unity.
The point is, we should at least try. We can't just sit around, be lazy and do nothing. dont you think even Allah will ask what did you do with your time?

Karachi, when a Muslim does good he is referenced by his nationality, when he does bad it's Islam to blame. For example a crime happens in Pakistan or Nigeria in this case and all of a sudden nationals from UK, Canada, Saudi etc are required to hold their hands up and be responsible and required to lead the way to defuse extremism just because they share the same religion. On one hand the west will never accept a Islamic union as it's their biggest fear to have muslims of the world abolish nationalism and be united under one flag with one army (which is the ONLY solution to systematically target these extremist groups in the manner they are pressuring us muslims to take action) but at the same time muslims are blamed for not preventing extremism. how is this double standard and catch22 situation not blatant to see?.Originally posted by Karachi View PostI dont believe in the official media version of 9/11 nor do I believe anything coming out of western media 100%, however the problem of extremism and terrorism is very real in the muslim world, which is eating up muslim societies from inside, to deny that part of it is really stupid and dangerous

There is no doubt that the west has a huge double standard when it comes to muslims, that's why I am saying we should not care what they say, whether it is positive or negative, who are they? why are we treating like them as if they are our masters.Originally posted by Manzareh View PostKarachi, when a Muslim does good he is referenced by his nationality, when he does bad it's Islam to blame. My point is, we have to fix our problems regardless of what they say or do. We shouldn't wait for their approval or accusations. We have to bring positive change from within, which is much needed
That's why I also said that I wish it was a muslim group or army which took out these Boko Haram rebels and freed the girls, why is the west being allowed to come there now? Why didn't any muslim nations act before the west? I know there are hardly any real muslim nations, but still, something should be done by muslims first, especially when the kidnapped girls are most likely muslims themselves

That's not my business to unite the muslims, that's the Mahdi's business. I'm not the Mahdi.
The solutions already exists, they are the Holy Qur'an and the prophetic tradition.

I am not saying you be a Mahdi, but as indviduals we have to contribute positively towards muslim community in whatever we can, our community is a very broken community, any little helps it gets will be very good.Originally posted by Al Hanif View PostBro, Allah Most High will not judge you for things you didn't do.

Also yes Quran/Sunnah are the solutions, but who is there to implement them and that too correctly? even these rebels are probably claiming to be following Quran/Sunnah
