  • Isnt Mohammad and Jesus both supposed to be back?

    Comment

    • They are both supposed to be back in a spiritual sense only. We know that Hadhrat Muhammad (saw) is buried in Medina. So, that prophecy is clear that it is only a metaphor. With respect to Hadhrat Isa (as), as per the Quran, he is passed away. Therefore, even that one is metaphorical.

Metaphorically speaking, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) has fulfilled all the prophesies of the Latter Days.
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

      • One of the greatest reasons why religious people fail to recognize each other, before the advent of Islam, was due to the fact that they thought that their religion was the only one that was correct. They could not phantom the idea that another religion would supersede their religion.

With the advent of Hadhrat Muhammad (saw) it was understood that Allah has always revealed His message in a metaphorical language. The reason for this is the fact that Muslims accept ALL Prophets and ALL Books. If it was not for the sake of Islam, man would have thought--some still do--that there were multiple gods.

Thank God for Islam all of this has been clarified.

With respect to Islamic prophecies of the future one must also not forget that Allah still reveals in parables, metaphors and allegories. NOTHING has changed. Just study the Quran and you will come to terms that there is a lot of thinking required.

The reason why Allah does this is because it is impossible to reveal EVERYTHING in a layman's language.

With respect to the second appearance of Hadhrat Muhammad (saw) and Hadhrat Isa (as), it is clear that Hadhrat Muhammad (saw) is passed away, so the verses in Surah Al-Jumu'ah cannot be literally referring to Hadhrat Muhammad (saw). And the ahadith referring to the second coming of Hadhrat Isa (as) cannot be literally referring to Hadhrat Isa (as) for the Holy Quran categorically declares him dead.

As such, the prophecies are metaphorical and not literal.
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

        • Of course, not. You know that I love discussion. I just don't like people who mock. You have never mocked and you don't have that tendency, reading your posts.

          • The name of every Prophet in the Quran is Imam Mahdi. So, according to this name which the Prophet (saw) gave the Latter Day reformer, it is clear that he is a prophet. Otherwise, why name someone an Imam Mahdi?

Imam Mahdi means: The leader that is guided by Allah.

If a leader is guided by Allah, then it makes him a Prophet.

            • The most recent prophet after Hadhrat Muhammad (saw) was Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as).

He was a prophet because he fulfilled the role of the Latter Day Messiah. The Latter Day Messiah is a Prophet according to Sahih Muslim. According to Ibn Majah, there will be no Mahdi except the Messiah. In other words, both will fulfill in one person. Further, the role of a Mahdi is none other than a Prophet of Allah.

Therefore, the Messiah is the Imam Mahdi, for the an Imam Mahdi can be no one other than Prophet. And this makes sense because the Messiah would be a Prophet that he would have companions, and this fulfills the verse in Surah Al-Jumu'ah.

The most important thing that you have to focus on is the need of time.

Do we need help from Allah? If so, then how is it going to happen? And, to know how it is going to happen one has to read Quran and ahadith. Next, from ahadith we find out that when the world will be in darkness, in the Latter Days, Allah will send the Messiah. Now, to know who the Messiah is is to wait and see who claims it. Now Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) has claimed it. However, he has made such a bold claim by declaring Hadhrat Isa (as) dead, by Allah revealing it to him. And if Hadhrat Isa (as) is not alive then who will be the Messiah? Why not research the one who has made that claim?

The checklist you are looking for is not a checklist as such, because the ahadith concerning the Latter Days are not all in order. They are scattered, therefore, you have to gather them and study them each.

                    • ^ Millatpala, I don't think it's a nice idea to talk in a language that one of the main participants of the discussion doesn't understand (i.e., MWMN). You should be decent enough to talk in a language that all of us understand.

If you've something to say against the Ahmadis, you should prove it using your points and explain them without mocking them. And talking in a different language implies that you don't know how to support your claims to the person who is opposing your stance but are saying it to someone who might fall prey to your views.

                          • Stop taking everything so negatively, folks.

And no offense taken at all. What's offensive about explaining why you would write in Pashto?

However, I didn't say don't write in Pashto, period. I said that when you're in a discussion in which one of the main participants doesn't speak/read/write Pashto, it's not nice to purposely talk in Pashto then. I mean, it's like being in a discussion with a group of people most of whom speak English and one doesn't, and you purposely talk in English.

It's a discussion. If this were not a discussion, no big deal.

I personally believe that if you don't belong somewhere or are not wanted, don't poke your nose there.

This is a Pashtun forum and MOMIN/Qadyani is not a Pashtun then what is he/she doing here?

                              • ^ Aseer Gula, I can read Pashto, so I know who he was talking to and what he was saying. But it's just a matter of etiquette: You don't talk in a language that someone around you doesn't understand. It's very rude. And this whole "We're Pashtuns; we speak Pashto" logic doesn't work: Do it everywhere if you're gonna do it in a thread in which you disagree with someone without being able to back up your claims.

And I didn't ask anyone not to take offense... but okay.
