I can have definitely a conversation(face to face) in Arabic which may lack perfection because of lack of practice. Yesterday I spoke in Arabic like two hours. However I have to improve my written Arabic.Originally posted by RevolutionThroughReason View PostBadlun can you have a conversation in Arabic?
But do you think all these non Arab Muslim scholars , taliban, Ikhwans etc can speak Arabic? Dont you think speaking of a language is not the standard you can judge the knowledge of some one.
An illiterate Pashtun working in an Arab country for 3 years can speak fluent Arabic but Mullah Omar may not speak a single sentence of Arabic, in spite of the fact that he has studied Arabic for 8 years in a madrassah..

Hal is a question word? would you mind elaborating?Originally posted by Badlun View PostMany years back I had read mizan u sarf, some books on nahwa and what I remember about your questions about Arabic grammar, will share here. I like this kind of intellectual discussion. However if you are interested we can continue the discussion in a thread already exists here on Arablic language.
Raf', Nasb, Jarr and Jazm are Irab(inflection) and shows how a word ends. raf is when the word ends after a verb as its subject, if direct object it will be nasb, after preposition it will be jarr. The vowel signs used are a dammah for Raf', a fathah for Nasb and a kasrah for Jarr.
A verb's ending also depends on use of words like lan and lam. After lan there will be Nasb(fathah) . If the verb is after lam, then Jazm(sukun). If the verb is not with lam or lan then it is called Raf(dammah)
Hal is a question word. Faail is subject , mafool is object.
The most read book in hanafi Fiqa can be Nur ul Ida or kanz or Hidaya or Qudori or Mukhtar depends on the grade of the students. For me Hidayah is very famous. I have read all of them formally.
Please do not doubt my claim that I have remained as a formal Talib in a madrassah. Now I might have lost grip on all those texts but I did study them.
Anyone who reads any of those texts knows fully well that Islam is not only ritual, or you would have those books finish at kitabul jinayaat.

That's not the point, I asked if you can speak in Arabic.
you're going off on a tangent.
Ikhwan can speak in Arabic, because they're raised in Egypt, which is an Arabic speaking country.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
pride is a feature of shaytan!Originally posted by Pakwatan View PostWhile I disagree with some of your points, the point you are trying to make is correct.
I don't think having pride is a bad thing at all, but If abused like alcohol or drugs, it becomes an addiction. Addiction makes people become unreasonable.
Ultimately, nationalism leads to secularism, or in certain cases, atheism/communism based on shirk in the eastern hemisphere.
Secularism is just a tactic for globalists to push their agenda on the masses of the world, while they connive on subduing the entire planet.
Globalists are Godless. They thrive on power and greed, while feeding the every day man(dumba/sheep) secularism to keep him ignorant.
Secularism is a tool for globalists to be politically correct and ostracize anyone that would oppose them.
They paint secularism in positive light, while demonizing Muslims for being the biggest threat to their scheme.
Where in Islam does it say to oppress non-believers?
Yet secularism is pure and noble, and Islam is the evil in the world.

I think hal is a very common Arabic word used for asking questions. The other word is A . For example Are you from Afghanistan? Hal anta min Afghanistan? He is an Afghan? isn’t he? Huwa afghani alais kadhalik?Originally posted by Khorosani View PostHal is a question word? would you mind elaborating?

Jinayat is every thing not proper and mainly all these are related to ethics. Religion like Islam does talk of crimes and punishments but in moral context not in legal context. Otherwise we would have codified Islamic law which no where exists. Jurisprudence or fiq is not law.
Also Quran was revealed 1400 years back and you cannot apply injunctions according to that society in today's society. the only unchanging aspects of religion are faith, worship and morality but how can you preserve things applicable 14 centuries back today. It will be height of stupidity. God, prayers, hajj do not change but society, crimes, evidence standards, modes of punishments change.

Law codification is a very recent concept to be able to keep track of the compendium of laws. You cannot claim that Islamic Laws are not Laws because they're not codified in the way we have them now.Originally posted by Badlun View Post

Law by definition is a rule where a certain injunction is required and enforced by a party. This is in the Qur'an "Amr bil ma'ruf wa nahy anil munkar"
If you studied the Qur'an you'd have known of this.
Also ALL Laws ultimately have a Moral Context, even in secular societies; so your claim is irrelevant.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
