Maybe she has and maybe she hasn't copied from Wikipedia. But when you make an accusation like that, you need to prove it. So be specific and tell us what she copied from Wikipedia so we can trust your words. I mean, if she's just "pretending" it's her words, then surely, you can show us that she's copying Wiki al-Saheeh, right?Originally posted by inqilab View Postlol she is practically copying everything from wikipedia. And pretends it is her words.
All what she is saying is insignificant. Since it does not prove what i said wrong.
Like i said. She is a waste of time.
But, khair . . . Gulalai has done significant research (according to her posts # 56 and 60 in the thread "What are you studying?") in the fields below - so you should know that you're talking to an actual scientist and not some average person who has artificial knowledge about evolution.

Sooo, yeah . . .Originally posted by gulalai View PostProgram-wise, I study 'cellular, molecular and biomedical studies'. But what I am actually studying is cancer genomics...recently I got interested in the neuro and develpmental aspects of malignant carcinomas...and just a week ago I thought of looking at some infectious agents for further exploration. What I actually study is evolution of humans...Phews!!

I see it. I saw it for the first time at the age of 13.
Well so what is the relevance of histones to the origin of species in the grand scheme of evolution?
Now you please reflect (if you care...)

LOL!... Sorry for ruining it for you! I just HAD to flaunt your experience in the field so that those who themselves lack knowledge even about the basics of evolution think that everyone else must be like them could realize that, no, some amongst us are actually very knowledgeable and know what they're talking about -- quite damn well!

As I said erlier, somewhere in another post, Quran starts the history with Adam, but it also say, that earth and lfie was there before Adam.
And when your Lord asked the angels, I am going to create (send) a Caliph on the earth. They replied, will you send one who will create anarchy and chaos there and will kill each other, and we are enough to worship you.
It clearly indicates that eath, life and other creatires were there.
What type of creatuires and what, Quran does not show any interest in describing it, as it is not a book of evolution, but it also did not describe denial of evolution.
It means there is a room for this topic to be discussed regarding religion as well.
There are four theories of evolution.
Natural selection or survival of the fittest or fattest.
use and disuse theory
ontogeny repeats phylogeny theory
special creation theory
It is really difficult to throw away all these theories just saying unislamic. When once read these theorires ind etails, they do not finish on any conclusion, but i will say confusion, but encouarge you to think more on the topic, and due to these basic theories now human being is enable to prove this at moelcualr level, although not 100%.
Then one thing, where someone says, that monkeys were created from human being as some of the jews were changed into monkeys. It shows itself, that monkeys were there before some jews were changed into monkeys, otherwise how people came to know that they are turned into monkeys.
My own belief about creation of Adam is, that when evolution reached the stage where promegnan etc were already there, Allah created Adam, in a special way, but it is not only the Adam, however many other animals also can lye in special creation.
I wrote few years back an article on evolution of Camel in some newspaper. I should search for it:
The idea came to me after this verse of Quran:
And if you dont look at the camel, how we created it.
Why Allah invited human being to look and think about the camel creation. I described in that article the physiology and blood cells structure of camel differing it from other animals completely and it does not fit in any evolution tree.
However, it is very long discussion and it can be useful when all the members read the therories completely and then raise the bobejction, otherwise difficult to write and paste all here.

Erlangner, I consider theistic evolution or evolutionary creationism (that you have depicted here) not less than a sophisticated fascade of theistic creationism. If you believe that a supernatural being such as god has been instrumental in evolving the humans, I feel it is pretty undreasonable to make a claim that Adam was introduced at some point in the evolutionary timeline when the world was already made a convenient place for him. As such, natural selection is not compatible even with theistic evolution because both have entirely different principles of operation.
All theories are open to falsification. But the difference between the creationism and evolution is that where the former is absolute, the latter is open to discussion and hence by virtue of logic, is more plausible. It is very easy to invalidate the religious theories in that they do not provide any factual evidence and rely on the supernatural powers of an abstract entity. A scientific theory, on the other hand, passes through the process of logic and reasoning (hypothesis, observation, experimentation, results, conlusion). As such, the theory of evolution is not a fairy tale but so far a more logical approach to the question of origin of life and evolution of species.
Lastly, humans have not evolved from monkeys or other apes but all apes, including humans, have evolved from a common ancestor. The jews are also humans and I believe (based on the sacred texts of science) that they evolve from the most common recent ancestor of humans, similar to their christian and muslim brothers.
If the truth of the evolutionary creationsim could be proved on the basis of emphasis on Camel in Quran, then the truth of biolgical evolution could be proved on the basis of absence of existence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, retroviruses, and dinosaurs in Quran or other religious text.
P.S. I would like to read your article. Manana.
