  • Death of Jesus Christ may peace be on him.

Dear fellows: Today I want to give you an example of how the promised Messiah was to revive Islam. Muslims believe that Jesus Christ is still alive, they say that while he was being crucified God Almighty took him up to the heaven, or to the sky. And he is since then in the sky, he is expected to descend again to the Earth in the latter days, then he will reform or revive Islam.

Now I want to explain this according to the teaching of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian The Imam Mahdi علیہ السلام and you will then judge what is right and what is wrong, Okay? Ready!

AT THE time when the incident of crucifixion happened Hazrat Jesus Christ علیہ السلام was between 33 to 34 years old, and then his life has been a mystery. Every religion has its own opinion. I just want to explain what do the three major religions of the world say about his death:

Christianity says that Jesus was crucified and then he consequently died and then he was taken up by God to the Heaven and since then he exists on the right hand of God, and he will descend to Earth in the latter days.

Jews say that he was not a prophet so according to the old testament we will crucify him and we will proof him to be (نعوذ باللہ) cursed one, so they tried to crucify him and they assume that he died in result of the crucifixion.

Islam say that they assume that we have killed Jesus علیہ السلام but they don't have the real knowledge what happened. They tried to crucify him but Jesus Christ did not die consequently. The holy Quran says that :
واوینا ھما الی ربوہ ذات قرار و معین that we rescued him and resuscitated him from the hands of Jews.
Here the point is that as I told you that Hazrat Isa; Jesus Christ علیہ السلام was only 34, and in the Vers above Allah swt says that we rescued him and his mother to a place of springs and a place of joy (Naturally beautiful). So here the question arises that he was crucified in the age of 34 and all the religions agree that he lived a mild life. He did not see any harmful situation before this and the only harmful situation experienced by him was exactly the crucifixion; the biggest trial for him, in this case "What then this Verse of the holy Quran mean that we resuscitated him to a place where he and his mother Mary were rescued from the enemies??

READ this and I will proof that Jesus lived a normal life and then like every prophet and every human being he died a normal death. Thirty Verses of the Holy Quran proof his death. I will put those verses here too but first let me see what do you react or say about my above views.
    Waiting for your comments...

Can you further elaborate about the Messiah?
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

The belief of Muslims is that Sayyidina `Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him) is the Messiah. He was not crucified nor did he die. He was raised up to the heaven and is now alive in heaven. He will return to earth and lead the Muslims and then after a number of years die on earth.

The beliefs of Muslims are enumerated in the `Aqida Tahawiyya, which states:

        100. We believe in the signs of the Hour such as the appearance of the Dajjal and the descent of `Isa ibn Maryam, peace be upon him, from heaven and we believe in the rising of the sun from where it sets and in the emergence of the Beast from the earth.

The sources of Islamic belief (`aqida) are the Qur'an and Sunna. The hadiths on the descent of Sayyidina `Isa (peace be upon him) are mutawatir (mass-transmitted).

And the Qur'an Majid itself says that he was raised up, and that he will be a sign of the Hour, referring to his return before the Hour.

This is what Muhammad Asad has said about the incident of the Cross (commentary under 4:157) in his translation "Message of the Quran:"

Thus, the Qur’an categorically denies the story of the crucifixion of Jesus. There exist, among Muslims, many fanciful legends telling us that at the last moment God substituted for Jesus a person closely resembling him (according to some accounts, that person was Judas), who was subsequently crucified in his place. However, none of these legends finds the slightest support in the Qur’an or in authentic Traditions, and the stories produced in this connection by the classical commentators must be summarily rejected. They represent no more than confused attempts at "harmonizing" the Qur’anic statement that Jesus was not crucified with the graphic description, in the Gospels, of his crucifixion. The story of the crucifixion as such has been succinctly explained in the Qur’anic phrase wa-lakin shubbiha lahum, which I render as "but it only appeared to them as if it had been so" - implying that in the course of time, long after the time of Jesus, a legend had somehow grown up (possibly under the then-powerful influence of Mithraistic beliefs) to the effect that he had died on the cross in order to atone for the "original sin" with which mankind is allegedly burdened; and this legend became so firmly established among the latter-day followers of Jesus that even his enemies, the Jews, began to believe it - albeit in a derogatory sense (for crucifixion was, in those times, a heinous form of death-penalty reserved for the lowest of criminals). This, to my mind, is the only satisfactory explanation of the phrase wa-lakin shubbiha lahum, the more so as the expression shubbiha li is idiomatically synonymous with khuyyila 1i, "[a thing] became a fancied image to me", i.e., "in my mind" - in other words, "[it] seemed to me" (see Qamus, art. khayala, as well as Lane II, 833, and IV, 1500).
3: 55, where God says to Jesus, "Verily, I shall cause thee to die, and shall exalt thee unto Me." The verb rafa ahu (lit., "he raised him" or "elevated him") has always, whenever the act of raf’ ("elevating") of a human being is attributed to God, the meaning of "honouring" or "exalting". Nowhere in the Qur’an is there any warrant for the popular belief that God has "taken up" Jesus bodily, in his lifetime, into heaven. The expression "God exalted him unto Himself" in the above verse denotes the elevation of Jesus to the realm of God's special grace - a blessing in which all prophets partake, as is evident from 19: 57, where the verb rafa nahu ("We exalted him") is used with regard to the Prophet Idris. (See also Muhammad ‘Abduh in Manar III, 316 f., and VI, 20f.) The "nay" (bal) at the beginning of the sentence is meant to stress the contrast between the belief of the Jews that they had put Jesus to a shameful death on the cross and the fact of God's having "exalted him unto Himself".
Lit., "who does not believe in him before his death". According to this verse, all believing Jews and Christians realize at the moment of their death that Jesus was truly a prophet of God - having been neither an impostor nor "the son of God" (Zamakhshari).

According to Asad's commentary Hadhrat 'Isa (as) did not go into the Heavens. If Hadhrat 'Isa (as) is not in the Heavens, then where is he?

Asif, can you substantiate the claim of the founder of Ahmadiyyat how he concluded that Hadhrat 'Isa (as) ended up in Kashmir?

Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

Hmm... does this statement not contradict the claim that he is dead? Or are you saying that he did not die by the hands of the Jews or anyone else but died a natural death?

I'm not so sure if ANY prophet lived a normal life. Specifically in the case of Jesus, he could heal the sick and resurrect the dead! That's not normal -- unless you mean normal according to divine standards, in which case that's obviously not the same normal that we normally mean when we talk of what's normal and what's not.

Sahih al-Bukhari - Book of the Prophets:
3264. It is related from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "By the One who has my soul in His hand, the time is soon coming when the son of Maryam will descend among you as a just judge. He will break the crosses, kill the pigs and remove the jizya-tax. There will be so much money that there will be no takers for it, and a single prostration will be better than this world and what it contains." Then Abu Hurayra said, "Recite if you like, 'There is not one of the People of the Book who will not believe in him before he dies; and on the Day of Rising, he will be a witness against them.' (4:159)"

3265. It is related from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "How will you be when the son of Maryam descends among you and is your Imam from among you?"

The first Verse of the Holy Quran which proofs that Jesus Christ has died. I don't mean that he was killed on the cross, this is not Islamic believe.

                      وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ Al e Imran 145
                      Translation:
Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم is only a prophet of Allah; all prophets before him have passed away.

It clearly says that if Jesus was a prophet (NOT SON OF GOD) he has to die then.

Similarly Allah swt says in the holy Quran:
                      مَا الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُ صِدِّيقَةٌ كَانَا يَأْكُلَانِ الطَّعَامَ انْظُرْ كَيْفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ الْآَيَاتِ ثُمَّ انْظُرْ أَنَّى يُؤْفَكُونَ
                      Translation:
Jesus Christ was only a prophet of Allah; all prophets before him have passed away, his (Jesus') mother was a pious women; they both (Jesus and his mother) used to eat meal
                      Amaeda verse 76

now this verse says that Jesus and his mother used to eat meal, this means that they both DO NOT eat meals, it is clears about his mother Mary that why does not she eat meal now; obviously because she is dead, now it is about Jesus, why does not HE eat meal?? Is he alive and does not need to eat?
                      You can not say that
                      Why?
Because the Holy Quran does not let you say that:
                      وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ أَفَإِنْ مِتَّ فَهُمُ الْخَالِدُونَ
                      Translation:
And we have not let any HUMAN being to live long before you O Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم Would you die and they will be living???
                      al anbia 35

Now here in the last verse of the Holy Quran Allah swt says that if we decided that a MAN or a HUMAN being should live a extra ordinary longer life it could be only YOU O Muhamad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم . So if you say that Jesus was better than Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم then you can say that Jesus is still alive despite the death of our beloved prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم . And here Allah swt says that no Human Being can live a long life unless he eats meal. So if you say that despite all this Jesus is still alive then in other words you are supporting the Christian believe that Jesus was not a Human Being but he was Son of God, or God himself.
                      Thanks for reading...

If the Holy Quran has not mentioned the physical "ascend" of Hadhrat 'Isa (as) then how could his "descent" be physical?

There is more to the story.

Intrestingly enough, the Ahmadis are the only group in Islam that claim that Hadhrat 'Isa (as) was given a natural death and the coming Messiah is in a metaphorical sense. Just as was the second coming of Hadhrat Elias (as) among the Jews. The second coming of Hadhrat Elias (as) was metaphorically fulfilled by Hadhrat Yahya (as).

We will just wait and see what Asif has to say.

                          A warning to Muslims:

Ahmadis/Qadians misintrepret Qur'anic verses in attempts to prove that Sayyidina `Isa (as) died and that he is not the Messiah and that he will not return. They do this to prove their belief in the false-prophet Mirza Ghulam whom they claim was the Messiah and a prophet (na`udhubillah).
