Most Muslims aren't even Muslims anymore. They just follow what their parents have told them (that's not Islam). The modern era is similar to the pre-Islamic days of ignorance: with the Kaaba being a tourist attraction. Muslim lives are worth nothing. Muslims don't even control their lands, it's embarrassing.
I agree with you, muslims have become the lowest of the lowest, but there has to a way to fix this, we can't just sit and wait for things to happen, we should make an effort to make things better in every way. what is the point of living without even making an effort to change?

The problem is Muslims. I have an opinion the majority of Muslims are fine with the decadent state they are in. For example, just recently, Israel has killed scores of civilians in Gaza and no Muslims outside Gaza cares; 100's of Syrians were killed in the past few days, nobody cares; dozens of Afghan civilians were killed, nobody cares; black Libyan Muslims getting slaughtered, nobody cares.

For a western Muslim, anything you want to do can lead to arrest. Doesn't matter what your intention is.

shariah hasn't failed, muslims did. this isn't just some observation in order to save face because i am a muslim but because muslims have in fact failed shariah. from murders, dictatorships, lying, stealing, cheating, hypocrisy. muslims failed the ideal, not the other way around. the natural order has a way of weeding out those unworthy of ruling, and so its been the muslims for the last couple hundred years on earth. perhaps it will change, maybe not, but at least we have something to strive for.

secularism is easy, there is no clear defined laws. its make it up as you go along, but leave any religious ideology out of it. i wouldn't say secularism has failed in any inherently secular country, its on a roll. its easy, thats why its popular.
your controlled variable is people? you are applying people to sharia and then blaming them for failing?? do you not know what purpose a law serves? that is like saying "the cage was there, it's the monster's fault for not walking in to it rather than eating people'. if people were that perfect, there wouldn't be a need for laws.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

as it is the responsibility of people to uphold the laws of god, yes. this goes for muslims when it comes to our private lives and people in position of power who administer the laws to a nation. the laws are there, they have been for 1400 years and are unchanged. its not a matter of perfection on the part of man. just as the quran tells us that people who don't follow the religion damage their own souls, the people of high authority who don't uphold religion damage their nations. every nation/religion/culture has its own laws which works for them no matter how messed up. islamic law is there to maintain the morality and integrity of a nation, whereas secularism is there because it "works," regardless morality, integrity, and decency.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

what morality, what intigrity and what nation?

that is a very beautiful poem randolph but can we talk about reality and fixing the mess that we had had for over 1400 years now? sharia as a law for the 21th century muslim is not doing what it was meant to do. does sharia not permit one the right to political freedom? you want to spend 1400 more years of wishful thinking for a miracle to occur amongst human beings who have no value or respect for each other, life or education with out acknowledging the fact that you are in 21th century and that caveman tactics are not the means for survival amongst your enemies anymore then good for you. good luck spreading islam amongst others that way. hopefully by the end of it, enough of you are left to guide the rest in to the right path. meanwhile, some of us would like to educate our children with out the fear of having them being buried under the roof of a classroom or massacred in their own homes while they are asleep. when you have a different approach at sharia than the one you have been trying for the last 1400 years, let us know. we will be more than glad to join you.
a faithful man's religion can not be stolen from him but should the opportunity and right to proper education be stolen from him, he or his religion will not last long. if our people were educated, they wouldn't be so easily manipulated in to killing each other.
i am not saying that secularism is the answer but from the looks of it, it's the only option that allows me the freedom to educate my children and pray to God with the peace of mind whenever i choose to do so which suits me just fine.

                  ^^^

                  Intriguing response.

What do you mean by "cave man" tactics? Quranic and Hadith laws aren't "barbaric" if you follow it the way it's supposed too. Where has Shariah been implemented in the last hundreds of years? Certaintly not in the Mid-East or south Asia.

Are you saying in a secular environment people aren't manipulated to kill each other? America has the highest violent crimes in the world.

The only way to implement shariah is following the laws as what is written in the Quran, no interpretations, no half-assing; which is what Maslems have been doing for hundreds of years.

thank you. not many who have similar beliefs as you admit to our people dying for a pointless reason. they all take great pride in how taliban are fighting for islam and whatnot. and yes, quran and hadis doesn't tell people to tie a bomb around an animal's neck and blow it or kill innocent children so infidels can get the idea to back off but it's happening, no?

no i am not saying that. we don't have the resources that they do. if we had allowed ourselves that freedom, we would be able to defend ourselves or fight on similar grounds with some hope for success. we wouldn't need them to butcher us and make it seem to the rest of the world like they are doing us the greatest favor.

This is a VERY fallacious analysis.

The fact that SOME people among the GROUP called "Talibans" did something evil doesn't change the fact that every muslim, as an INDIVIDUAL, has the DUTY to fight invading kuffars and apostates.

You can't blame these resisting individuals (The Mujahideens), for what some people among a group (The Talibans) did.

It's like if a non-believer saw a muslim sinning in the middle of a group of muslims and rejects Islam because of what he saw.

This is exactly what you're saying : people shouldn't fight because some among them did some evil.

It's like if Mahmoud sees Ali drinking alcohol in the mosque and then refuses to pray because of what he saw.

The problem is Muslims do not know what Islam is. The non-Arab ones only read it in Arabic and not their mother tongue, leading to easily being manipulated by "Mullah's" who say this or that is written in the Quran.

The Taliban foot soldiers are manipulated by imam's, because they do not know what is written in the Quran. (for the most part) Most of them are illiterates and the mullahs take advantage of their loyalties. The problem with the Taliban aren't the average -Ullah, it's the higher-ups who demogagoue the situation in Afghanistan: They have turned a legitimate Jihad into a circus act

The secular nations (America, Britain. Russia) are controlling Muslim lands, they are the ones who created the borders and gave them their names. As we saw in Iraq, Saddam Hussein was brought up as a leader to overthrow the old government; when his time was up the same people who helped him, threw him away (this also applies to Afghanistan, Syria, Egypt, Libya, and Yemen).

                        For your last statement:

The only way for Shariah to help everyone is it should be a top priority for each and every Muslim to study the Quran and Hadiths in their mother tongue, do not take any "Scholars" word for it. Read Bukhari, do not wait for an Imam at Juma prayer to recite a Hadith of his choice.

Read the Quran. the words are literal and not open for interpretations.

                            Kuchti Mara tu.

I just broke down the current situations affecting Muslims and it gets ignored. This is what usually happens and is the reason why Muslims are in decadence. I have repeated the same statements to countless of muslims in-person, and I get the same response "I only care about MY life and MY kids. Now please leave me alone so I could pray Juma or Eid prayers so I can leave the masjid and return to MY life."
