  • Roadside 2 Islam

This thread will give an insight to the once lost in the dunya (wordly life), and how Islam was cure to the lives they lead, many have been stuck in violence, drugs, murders, heavy in the music industry, in and out of jail but eventually found peace in Islam.

The first video id like to post is to show B Double, rapper/drug dealer born and raised in London and how he carried himself before he found the light, how this arrogant person has become one the humblest people, the change in personality is so big after he found Islam, to me he seems like a totally different person.

one of the reasons i cant knock religion is because ive seen the beauty of islam. ive seen what positivity islam can bring to some ones life

at the same time i dont give credit to islam either, because ive also seen islam bring negativity to some ones life and made them a worse person

so it really is ultimately dependent on the individual themselves

but hey, whatever makes ya a good person, if its 5 salats a day, or massive intoxication, keep doing it

I think the problem with any religion is that extremists take over the lead, and the beauty of the religion is lost. I think this is the main reason for negativity

I think one should only follow Quran and prophet's (pbuh) sunnah to see the beauty and not muslims or mullahs because only few among them are really good and pious.

Brother this has nothing to do with Islam. Those are human traits. Islam, as you know, teaches the opposite whether Muslims follow it is entirely up to their concious. They will explain themselves to Almighty Allah (swt) .

As brother arab just said, there are human traits. We have all of these characters here in my town, it doesn't mean that I will say that is because of islam. Your interpreting the "negativity" from people as islam. There are good and bad people everywhere, we just accept and take the good. Arrogance was prohibited from day one, shaytan himself became the lowest of the low simply because of arrogance, he wouldn't bow down to hazrat Adam alayhisalaam. Islam teaches against all three you came up with. Just because you see people sport beards and wear a hat doesn't mean that they are going to be pious people. Sorry to say but this is the reality. Such are the times nowadays...

i dont buy this. Islam itself empowers hypocricy and arrogance in Muslims. What do you expect when you divide the world between believers and non believers, and set special rules for yourselves, and set different criteria for the "other".

its a demonization of the "other", and its not specific to Islam but almost all ideologies. But lets not pretend Islam is perfect

Muslims can be incredibly arrogant, they believe they are the people of the correct path, no different than Jews and their Chosen people rhetoric

Anytime youre brainwashed to think you, and you only, have access to the "truth" it leads to you looking down on those led "astray", and gives an inflated sense of self

Verily this is why your Allah has humbled Muslims to the lowest dirt on the ground. Maybe after you regain your humility, you may regain your former status in this dunya.

religion should have been made to stay pesonal and private. Any random person should have not been allowed to teach it. There should have been a well observed processes to go through for those wanting to teach it. I believe in the importance of religion in a society as much if not more than Islam.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

when religion stays private, the people who make the laws do not. its one ideology over the other.

its no different than saying that secularism should stay private in an islamic society

                    one ideology must prevail.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

it is true that Islam and other religions divide people in to two categories, believers and non believers, but I think the arrogance part in Muslims and others is defiantly from human nature. In reality a muslim is suppose to be the most humble, polite and pious person, he is suppose to help the society he lives in muslim or non muslim society. The best dawah to non muslims should be the character/traits of a real pious muslim, but that said 99.99999% of muslims today are not like that, in fact they are total opposites and the biggest hypocrites, that's why islam and muslims are viewed in such a negative light, muslims are not being real muslims these days, this is the thing. The so called religious people are actually the biggest enemy of Islam itself because they are the biggest hypocrites and have let down Islam in every way possible, muslims have been totally broken down and that's why they are at the bottom of every thing, including in the practice of their religion

not entirely true, the quran tells us the difference between the believer and the non believer is like the seeing and the blind.

there is a clear distinction, for the sake of being nice we shouldn't disregard this fact. we can be civil and polite with non believers but lets not pretend that we are on the same level as them.

also, lets not pretend that non religious people see religious people, especially muslims, as equal. to them we are stupid and ignorant, following lies. in the west, its the non religious liberals who champion "muslim rights," not that these are really rights or that they know anything about our religion. they also champion gay rights too, which should tell you something. they like to favor the underdog, anything less than hate that we receive from western liberal groups is because of their white guilt syndrome, not because they accept us as religious muslims.

this is true that there is a clear difference between believers and non believers in quran. but how do you treat them, thats the question? Amir Al Ghaznavi mentioned the demonization of non muslims that occurs on muslim lands, is that the way we are suppose to treat them in Islam?
Non muslims may not like us personally, but I know they give me full rights to practice my religion and do whatever on their lands, but it is pretty hypocritical of us the total opposite way we treat them on our lands

randolph, you are only seeing superficial in others, because you are only being superficial yourself.
