Never label a Muslim as a Kaffir. Its a huge sin.

PEOPLE! Don't you see?
Momin is just trying to help. He says only 15% of Afghanistan are literate. So he is in favor of preaching christianity in Afghanistan because Christians are handing out Pashto bible to people. And once those illiterate Pashtuns have read the Bible, we will all become literate and understand everything better and also understand Islam better.
He means no harm. As he said previously, he is preaching Islam like there is no tomorrow by advocating the freedom for Christians to proselytize in Afghanistan.
It all makes sense, really. You are all wrong.[SIZE="4"][B][CENTER][URL="www.quranawsunnat.com"]www.quranawsunnat.com

You said our literacy rate is 15 percent, Which I concur, However, Should that not be another reason why we should NOT allow Christians in our country at this time.
Recently, like a few members pointed out, 2 christian groups were suspended, How do you feel about that?

My beloved sister,
They say that necessity is the mother of invention.
This just proves that we Pashtun instead of dealing with the issues realistically we are sweeping them under the rug in hopes that it will go away.
This is wishful thinking. According to the the Holy Quran, Christianity would remain until the day of Judgment. Hence, we should deal with the matter head on.
End of the day, we have to educate our people. Instead of living in the West and enjoying life we should go back and help our beloved Pashtun. Education is the key to to rooting out many societal problems.
We are told in Islam to educate ourselves. Today is the perfect example. We are being attacked by educated people by conniving means.
The key is not to ban Christianity, this is sheer stupidity. The Prophet (saw) never did this. The key is to educate ourselves properly. If we were educated, do you think that the Taliban would have ever come? There would have been no need for their oppression.Last edited by MeemWawMeemNoon; 06-07-2010, 05:18 PM.Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

According to Sharia, it is not permissible to allow the preaching or propagation of other religions in Darul Islam, Afghanistan is Darul Islam! So you are either very naive or you just don't know what you are talking about.Originally posted by MeemWawMeemNoon View PostMy beloved sister,

Please show this to me from Quran and the sunnah of our beloved Prophet (saw). This is where we get our Shariah from--not from politically minded people.Originally posted by akbarkhan View PostAccording to Sharia, it is not permissible to allow the preaching or propagation of other religions in Darul Islam, Afghanistan is Darul Islam! Show me this from these sources and I will budge. Otherwise, it is falsehood to attribute something like this to Shariah.Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

^ @akbarkhan - Yes, but I am sure Christians would say the same.
You are denying the inevitable. People are going to assume that Muslims are a bunch of crazy sword fighters who will beat you up if you try to tell them about their religion. They think already that Muslims are Muslim by force and not be choice (Trust me, I was part of this population at once) and it makes honkies aggressive towards us, and want to go to Muslim countries and blow us all up.
Of course NOBODY wants Christians (or anyone from any other religion) to spread their religion. But, we can't all set up a booby-trap to stop them. It WILL happen. So MEEM is trying to tell us how to deal with it, whereas all of you are sitting here saying its wrong.
IT IS WRONG, but we can't help it. How do we fix it when it happens?

Dear Jasmine,
we should fight with them by civilized means--our own preaching, with wisdom and goodly exhortation.
Christianity is not going to convert Afghanistan in one day. It will take time. However, if we don't act now and start the educational process we are bound to lose our future generation. Right now, people don't care about religion, they want food. This is do to their lack of education. That is why these Christian missionaries are succeeding with poor and uneducated people.Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:
[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

Allah knows best but this is my plan to go back to my homeland. My people need us. We are the hope for the future of Afghanistan. Education is the key and this is why the Prophet (saw) laid so much stress on education.Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:
[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

Yup, you can do that.Originally posted by JasmineYa, but how about we kick them out and start educating our people?
