Fine, I don't have a problem doing that.

There is no prohibition in Islam which says that you stop people from preaching. If there is, tell me, for I will then show that it would contradict the Holy Quran.

Hence, the onus is on your to prove that it is prohibited.

Now, go and ask your "scholar" and then post it here.
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

I have already referred you Surat 'Āli `Imrān 3:110, so the onus is not on me. It's up to you if you want to find out more about it or not and to be frank with you I could care less if you did or didn't.
O'faithful hearken thy vezir, for he promises them another Gandamak and for the ancestors of Hari Nalwa a similar fate has been sealed. We shall shake the foundations of their inner sanctums, written in gold and immortal will remain this endeavor of Afghans.

            • Allah says in the Holy Quran that we can choose whichever path we want. Now how do we choose that? Perhaps someone preaches it to us?

                • Allah says that if He enforced people to believe everyone would have believed. Allah says, then why do you force men to become believers?

It says very clearly actually, the duty of every Muslims and particularly an Islamic state is to "forbid Al-Munkar" that is what makes us the beloved Ummah in the sight of Allah swt. Christianity ascribes attributes to Allah swt which constitute Shirk hence its is Al Munkar therefore its imperative that all Islamic states prohibit/forbid the spread of it.

You [true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allah. And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fasiqun (disobedient to Allah - and rebellious against Allah's Command).

That means that we should not force others into Islam i.e a non-Muslim living in Darul Islam should not be forced into Islam.

                    • Forbidding does not mean you compel people. You teach them otherwise.

End of the day, it is their choice. By forbidding the preaching of Christianity you are compelling Islam on people. You are forcing Islam on people. You are not allowing people to choose for themselves.

That is how you perceive it, certainly not what the scholars have said if thats not the case then you should be able to backup your argument with authentic source.

As far the second part of your argument is concerned, its just doesn't hold water at all. The issue here is of propagation not choice, it is your choice what religion you choose voluntarily but you are restricted from propagating it.

                          take it or leave it.

This whole idea of not allowing other religions to preach is not from the time of our Prophet (saw). Don't forget in his time and in his space all types of religions existed.

This idea has afterwards; it stem from political reasons.

My source is the Holy Quran, your source is your "scholars." Now tell me whose argument holds more water?

Allah says in the Holy Quran that if He had enforced religion on people everyone would have believed. Then He asks that if we would force people to become believers. Allah further says that people are allowed to choose what they want. Lastly, Allah says that it is up to Him who believes and who does not.

He hence, if we forbid preaching then we are forcing Islam on people. We are playing Allah by dictating who should believe and who should not.
