Newtonian gravity, the inverse square law, was discovered by Newton.

Einsteinian gravity was discovered by Einstein.

Both are models that attempt to describe how gravity works.

If the above statement was true, then the motion of the galaxies would be such that bodies rotating farthest from the centre mass would have lower velocities...this is not observed....uniform velocity is observed through out.
