ScimitarXEdge who has taken his post down as I could not find it any more was challenged to show his face so we may show him how tenous his position is in the reality of Pashtoon land. He has called himself a mutazili, a term entirely unknown to pashtoons. Our house mullah sangar has answered him on the religious front, in an excellent manner. I just want to know what you guys think of this new idiocy.

The funny thing is SX, that your own interpretation of Islam is a western construct. Its a unique framework that you individually possess, an amalgamation of your western education and emotional need for religion to fill the voids in that understanding. This unique Islam has no value for another pashtoon. To elaborate further, lets design an experiment.

Write down ten basic tenets of this individualized islam and post them here, and we will ask the faithful to comment on them. If by the end of this exercise you are not labeled Kafir by half, I will accept you as 'ghous ul azam'. LOL. Your Islam is just that, yours, it is to soothe your nerves, not provide guidance for the pashtoons on how to live in 21st century as equal and honorable global partners.

Mu'tazilah have a few major defects in their creed which is against Qur'an and sunnah.

They believe that we should rely solely on our brain when we interpret qur'an and hadith. They reject the interpretation of qur'an which conflicts with their rationale.

Like they reject punishment of the grave, the reject many other matters of ghaib ( the unseen) and claim that all these matters are figurative speech.

One of their worst defects in creed is their denial of allah's names and attributes.

They believe that allah is unable to hear, speak and know everything.

None of their beliefs are founded on Quran and Sunnah. But rather, they rely on Aristotles Metaphysics.

Mu'tazilah reject anything that comes from the Sahaba. Including the sahih hadith as soon as it conflicts with their philosophy.

And their relationship with Qur'an is quite peculiar.

Mu'tazilah have produceda few scholars who were very good in interpreting the linquistic meaning of the Qur'an. Yet, they would go into extremes in their philosophical re-interpretation of the verses.

The prophet muhammad sal allahu alayhi wasalam and his companions did not spread an Islam where every piece of text in Qur'an or hadith is an obscure and vague statement.

Yet, Mu'tazilah claim that entire qur'an is abstract and needs to be interpreted by relying on philosophical concepts developed by famous Greek authors such as Aristotle.

Today, there are many Muslims who share Mu'tazili beliefs. They are primarily the Hadith rejectors, Sufis, Philosophers and some Shi'ites.

Among famous scholars of Deoband and Many Ash'aris today share similar beliefs as the Mu'tazilah.

But alhamdu lilah, most of the deviances of such groups are not well known by the common people. The creed of common muslims is very clear. They read qur'an and hadith and they accept the text as it is without going into philosophical and nonsensical re-intepretation which are contradictory to Islam

No Mutazali has ever been deemed a kafir by any real Alim. I am ashmed to read shimla's wild assertions ...he is no alim of deen and I challenge whatever he said about Scimitar. Bring forth your proofs if you have any and I ll show you where you erred. But by wrapping my explanation of Mu'tazilah with the post where I explain that mocking the prophet sal allahu alayhi wasalam and his marriage is apostasy and punishble by death you clearly show how you try to manipulate discussions to bring hostility and disunity among Muslims.

Scimitar might have been misled into becoming a Mu'tazili. But he is still a Muslim alhamdu lilah and he is honest in whatever he says. I know him for more than 6 years.

What is the point of this this thread? Scimitar is a Muslim. He may be misguided, but he is Muslim.

The point is that you dont know anything, before you pass your verdict and then have to retract, wait for your chief mullah sangar to past his fatwa first. After mullah saab, says that they are or are not TRUE MUSLIMS you may open your mouth, till then stay on the side.
