He was a human being after all. And when you think about it, it was the norm back in those days.. Also, she seemed happy and from what we know, he treated her well.

How people should see it is that everyone can't be him so everyone would not be able to do the same amount of justice to their 9 year old wives. Also, now that we have planes, people don't necessarliy ride on camels like the prophet did. So if a nine year old can benefit from being educated more than getting married, why can't we apply the same logic to her situation as we do to the airplane scenario??
Also, she was 18ish when the prophet passed away. She had no kids. Married nine year olds today would be having kids as soon as they are married off.
I have made my peace with this subject.

I already proved the 9 year old is myth and you have no proof of anything you have said. You are brainwashed by mass media who report BS with no proof.

No, you are using this as an excuse to justify your sick urges. You need help. I have already proved that she was married at 12 or older and the consummation was close to 6 years after that.

Those mullahs that believe in such things area as sick as you. Go get help before you hurt someone and report yourself. Do the right thing.

If you have no proofs of what you claim on this subject, then you are a perverted person that want to justify crime.

                • How do you justify the prophet marrying a nine year old aysha ra??
                • Who wants to know the answer of that question?
                • i do
                • You'll find a very meaningful answer to it online if you research a little.
                • what are you for?

i am researching as i ask you
                • It's not what people think, they're misguided as most of Muslims are too these days unfortunately.

                  Good.
                • answer the question
                • You'll find a very presentable answer for it Inshallah. Well I can give you a few hints..I'm no scholar

1400 years ago, life spans were shorter, men and women alike reached puberty much much quicker with reproductive capabilities at much younger ages. Their physiques back then at ages between 7-10 resembled corresponding physiques of 16-20 today

You'll find historical and anthropological proof with references if you look around.

Plus there are so many more reasons..

Marriages in Arabia in those times were not done merely for carnal needs exclusively.

Our Prophet's pbuh marriages, 7-9 in number probably had really solid backgrounds behind them, sometimes to bring truce between warring tribes, to solace a widow, to demonstrate a few injunctions etc.

Our Prophet was pure in thought and actions, it's sad people will say anything these days to sell their points..

In case of Aisha R.A, they converted to Islam, Abu Bakr R.A had to face a lot of hardships that we all know of..Aisha was physically and mentally baligh by the standards of those days to consummate a marriage at 9-11 years of age. Because they converted to Islam her engagement was nullified to a non-Muslim her parents had arranged for her when she was 6 or 7. Prophet pbuh stepped up to his best friend's help who had undergone so many hardships before accepting Islam and offered for his daughter, remained engaged to her for 3 years, and married her when she was chemically and hormonally ready too in addition to her physical adequacy and appropriateness. It was around 9-11 where scholars vary slightly.
                • And there are other reasons too youll find. People misunderstand and misinterpret so much it's unfortunate. And to associate a mere probability of what they're implying with a question like that is despicable. I wish people knew more about our Prophet pbuh.
                • How very fascinating

I need to read some on him

                • Yes please do, his biography teaches us so many things.

I have a book of it at home I brought for my sisters and myself. It was the authentic one and I found it after so much struggle.

I don't remember it's title exactly. I'll ask my sister.
                • I have read of one popular one that i meant to look in to but never got around to it. i think it was called

                  Necture of wisdom or something..

                • I think the English title of that book was "When the moon split" or something along those lines
                • I will look for it

Which language is the one you got for your sisters
                • Okay my sister brought all the three books I bought for them and myself. These books were the authentic ones and it took a lot of pain to find them. Let me take a pic of them. I also bought a book on the four IMAMs since it has confused me a lot once. And to find this to-the-point, authentic, no made up story book too I had to struggle from place to place. The ones with Bid'aa and false content are so widely available in Pakistan, it was saddening and these were hidden under stashes since nobody bought them.

                • The picture does not have "When the moon split into two" or "when the moon split", it was a shorter or briefer version of the current book I have in the picture-Al Raeeq Al Makhtum, The Sealed Nectar" which is the book I was talking about.

The urdu version to the left is the one I brought for my sisters, a few of them can read a little English too so I kept the English version of Raeeq Al Makhtum and The Four IMAMs at home too so they read it from time to time.

here is my proof. get lost now.

Thats not proof, that is just nonsense blabbering by perverts who want to justify their own perversion.

First you should have proof for your claim. Why are you so adamant on claiming that she was 9? What is your motive?

So you have no proof that she was 9?

There are 30 year olds who still play children themed video games. So the issue of playing with dolls is a red herring.

My answer is , you don't. It is what it is, humans are animals before all else, biology doesn't care for our cultural or social norms, it only influences them. No one knows for sure, she could have reached puberty, and for societies that depended heavily on natural signals that would indicate some signal for sexual maturation.

But she may also NOT have reached puberty, since it isn't as common in women to reach puberty at 9 as it is a few years later in the teens. However, this may have changed over human evolution as well. But we can safely assume that marriage & sexuality was determined by their understanding of nature, and thus they went according to their understanding. That's all.

again, personally I would like this to be a myth, but until majority of muslims dont believe it to be a myth, it is a major problem, because you will have mullahs today marrying 8-9 years old

The problem I have with this argument is that trying to evaluate how someone is "mentally" , especially someone we have very scant information about, is very murky As I already replied to before, Playing with dolls is a very vague piece of information. It would only mean that she still enjoys young activities

This is true even among modern adults, who play video games, collect comics and baseball cards. When you're coming into adulthood you're often transitioning from one phase to another. There is no "discrete" line or demarcation. Even young adults can often be awkward and shy especially if they've been sheltered. More objective criteria would be her cognitive ability, measuring Whether the events in her life caused cognitive dissonance. That would be one indicator that she was not mentally developed.

we however do not have any solid account of this information, so we can't really say much either way.

Bottom line, no one knows anything. One thing that we do know is that no one at the time questioned this marriage. The people that are adamant about it right now and try to convince people of their own opinion without evidence are perverts themselves trying very hard to justify their own sickness. go get help people and turn yourselves in to the authorities. Do the right thing.
