    Baygham;

    So if you are OK with those that dont care much about one verse, what about two verses or in my case like all them except the benign stuff like sky is blue and roses are red - the fluffy stuff, I am ok with all fluffy stuff I will even throw in an occasional cosmic ride on a winged horse - as a good natured child story; but that is it, no billion species on a single boat, that is much harder to erase once the child goes beyond 2nd grade.
    I request that you stop making any presumptions on my behalf i.e. I am a Qurani - fail! and that I am okay with those that don't make much of one verse - fail! What people do, is their business, and just because I don't declare them "kufar" worthy of death, doesn't necessarily mean I am okay with them or agree to it.

    Now that you have cleared the air, we are cool. I have nothing against you, I respect what ever you believe, I honestly do, what I dont respect is you bringing it to public space to make it mandatory on me.

    No, wont do.
    I am Ok if you believe all 100% of Quran or if you pick and choose your hadith or go 100%, dont care, just leave that stuff at home when you come to my home and I will leave my garbage at my home when I come to yours. And in the common hujra we will stay neutral - deal. (btw isn't that secularism)
    Do you keep your garbage at your home? hmmmmm.....

    What if the hujra is not neutral...lets say that in that hujra 95% of the people are Muslims, and 5% aren't...and the 95% also control and own it. The 95% then decides to take a vote on what to do with the 5%, and they decide to kick them into the sea...how do you deal with that? (I think that's called democracy).

    BTW, I never brought anything new to the public space to make it mandatory. Somethings always have been in the public (Pukhtoon) space and always have been mandatory.

        ......
        If it quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, its a duck. Being inside a closet or having had a coming out party, means little.

        Then you pick up arms and that is exactly our position regarding political islam. Islam does not protect the 5% (and its not the atheist, it can be any kafar, like any other sect of islam, as once you kill one set of 5% you dont stop you move on to keep the killing apparatus active).

        This leads to hegemony of the powerful who can line up others and push them in the sea.
        In a belief based culture where the 95% are in the pursuit of the imaginary world, the 5% (actually I would be very happy with 5% but in watan its like 0.001%) are in pursuit of worldly endeavors on a non belief basis. By killing these 5% the society becomes more disconnected from reality and this is not healthy for the well being of its inhabitants.

        By being intolerant of the heretic the pashtoon (under islam) have messed up there worldly ambitions (just like europe did for centuries).

        Now if the opposite becomes true one day and 95 % atheist decide to throw the 5% in to the sea, than that is also a wrong under the same principles.

        With beliefs you can have any belief, a society can arise and believe that every one with a 42 inch tummy is not liked by our Deity and should be pushed to the sea, and so on, or all with blue eyes are representatives of Shaatan and into the sea.

        With such allowances you ensure the hegemony of the ruling class and stagnation of a society.

          Certainly, go ahead. Though what do you think you can do with a 5%? You have admitted that it's even lower than that...something like 0.001%. I don't think being up in arms about it would be a good idea. Which I am sure you already realize, this is why we don't have a secular atheist nationalist army fighting for their beliefs.

          You talked about how we should keep our garbage at home, yet here you are talking about being up and arms about it. If you are going to reply that such is a reaction to the intolerant behavior of the 95%, you must realize that the Hujra belongs, owned and is controlled by them. They are not the one bringing out their garbage to the public domain, their garbage has always been part of it. So yes, I agree that their is a hegemony of the powerful, and in this case the powerful are the majority.
