LOL. If you say so. Anyone can click and confirm what it is each one was claiming.

The ones who settled in these regions are considered Pashtuns. They are varied as a group. They live all over. The ones living in kashmir are kashmiris. Etc.

Again, it's not to focus on the Syeds. It's to highlight that being Pashtun is an ethnic group, and therefore you have to be ethnically Pashtun. I.e. not rocket science.

This is false and simply a consequence of ignorance of later generations. In the Tribal Lineage, they're not Pashtuns.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Yes. In the fantasy land where merely your last name determines your race, they are not considered Pashtun.

Besides, like I said, the people weren't called that by their employees, the were called that by class fellows who thought it was easier than middle name. It's not a title, it's the person's name.
"nice try bro"???........now i am sure that you have not spent even months in Pakistan, a week or two or days at best.........you cant even differentiate between Saeed (name) and Syed.....and you have carelessly declared that i have invented "Shah ji" out of thin air......

Your entire arguments regarding who is Pashtun, is incorrect, alien and strange, and speaks volumes about you ignorance and detachment from your native lands.....a British is talking with me

              this was never argued.

What percentage of Pashtuns in Pakistan look like this?

I was of the impression Paki Pashtuns will look more mixed with Indics/Punjabis..

Please. Don't insult my intelligence to that extent. The specific person I'm talking about has a name like Syed Hasan (I'm not giving you his real name for obvious reasons), and we all called him Syed instead of Hasan. It's not Saeed. It's not a very typical occurrence, and I just used it as an example to show that everyone knew he's a Syed to the extent they used that name of his instead of the more commonly used Hasan name.

My entire argument is strange? You yourself said someone living in the region that can speak pashto is Pashtun. It's a racial determination. I've lived there, the only thing they asked in Peshawar was what village you're from.

Look man, I get it. You feel sorry for iblis. His kunna has been ughayaled. He's 50% Pashtun. This is why you haven't even explained to him that nobody thinks Syeds are Arabs in Pak/Afg, and why you've ignored numerous things I've said only to focus on something small in a half-assed attempt at discrediting.

Muhammad at the time was like king of the muslim world, obviously people wanted to be related to him in someway to increase their own social status... people would make up lies to achieve higher social status...

You seem to live in this delusional world where India isn't surpassing Pakistan by light years in STEM areas, where Sikhs are involved in conspiracies to subvert Muslims and where you think people's hindquarters are in "upheaval" by being you fundamentally wrong on even basic concepts of ethnic identity.

I wish I could have your level of naivety; those Paki-Nationalist brainwashing camps have really filled you with over inflated bravado and vacant confidence, Must be nice to have this level of self deception.

Then why are you here constantly grieving about it? You were supposed to leave months ago.

Well, I appreciate how the guy who says your last name transforms you into a specified ethnicity (based on some existing list somewhere, I would have to assume) telling me about how so many Syeds are fake Arabs........ because they fabricated their last names. EDIT: I deleted my post but your replied, this is to your reply above. It is what you said. You clearly said that determining a person's paternal lineage, which is done by father's family line i.e. last name/surname is what determines a Pashtun's ethnicity. You were adamant to the extent of denying the possibility of "non-tribal" affiliated people that are Pashtuns, as being legit Pashtuns.

You were a little indirect earlier. Could you please tell us how many years you've actually lived in Afghanistan again? You're schooling us on who is or isn't considered a Pashtun, and you're doubting my claims, so I would like to know how it is that you know I'm wrong? We're very grateful that you're telling us. It's not like actual Pashtuns would visit pashtunforums. That is preposterous. Who the **** is stupid enough to think that? Please tell us more about these mysterious people.

Nevermind that this thread was hijacked to talk about Syeds and what everyone thinks of them. Oh, just so you know about this going forward, that the claim you made that Syed's are considered Arabs by their peers in Pak/Afg, even if they're "Pashto-zuban" (never heard that term before) for 10+ generations(!) is completely wrong. This is an extremely embarrassing statement to make. Do you have any idea how ludicrous it is? You have absolutely no idea how off the mark you are. Try actually saying this in Afg/Pak, and you'll see what the reaction is.

If only I said such a thing .....if only. you might want to establish that before self congratulating and and talking aboiut battles of logic.

Go look at the charts you won't find 100% of anything. All genetic charts show 51% R1a 16 % Q-M242 etc etc. So this idea of a Pure Group is just unscientific to say the least,

And how do you know this guy was "full" Pashtun? He might be part Nuristani, as Red hair is more abundant among them than Pashtuns. Did you ask him? All you did was google image search, that's barely a reliable contingence to make scientific. MOST Pashtuns resemble these men.

And not that guy ......Google Search and picking your favorite picture because of an inferiority complex you have with Europeans isn't a reliable source.

The fact is our culture is defined this way, whether you like it or not,

I live in the UAE, home to the largest expat Pashtun population in the world. People who live here can tell you Pashtuns are distinguishable from their features on first sight. They have similar features and a repeating pool of faces. You base your knowledge from pics of old men from google whereas I live among Pashtuns and see them everywhere I go daily. I can tell you that stereotypes form for a reason...Pashtuns have been blessed as a very good-looking race. They are also very humble and have good character. This is a common for Pashtuns:
