I thought Persians made 51 % of the country? Iranians have been flexing muscle on persian language and shia religion for a long time. Iraq is a great example.

grana if you think being pashtun mean to grab weapon and kill all non-pashtun, you are wrong, then if you talk about karzai he is elected by tajiks, most of the pashtun have opposed him, if we can have good neighbours, nothing is wrong with it. tajikistan is our closest neighbour.

Yes. We need trade agreements. True. But we need to enter into dialogue with people without the politically motivated headings and titles for such meetings and exchanges.

The whole "persian summit" title is just ridiculous.

Actually, the Persians are not an absolute majority. Persians are just smarter than others.

lol. It is ridiculous. On the one hand you praise those who played as colonialist Punjab's agents and worked for the expansion of Punjabi empire, and other hand you go to another extreme where you want a pure pashtun state, who idiot will bellieve you. Sher khana! You are a split personality don't know yourself what you actually want. I think are better among Punjabis and never think about the division of Azad Afghanistan, that is not going to happen, never ever.

A country which has mostly been ruled by monarchs and dictators, what is so wrong about Karzai saib? He is an elected President, a very competent statesman and he replaced a Punjabi puupet regime, that is why he deserves more respect. After all there wouldn't be power vacuum in Afghanistan after the fall of Taliban regime and someone would have to replace Mulla Omar's puppet regime.

anyone who would sell his own mother to invaders and opressors would respect a puppet and a slave like Karzai as a leader.

The man is an insult to mankind. Shah Shuja & Babrak Karmal were more decent human being than this piece of filth.

He is a benefactor to all Pashtuns/afghans who restored the ruined Afghan state. Your cheap and disparaging language can't harm his stature and status. You are against him becuase Pakistan doesn't want a stable afghanistan.

                      bla bla bla,

the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

This might look as "flourish" to you. But I don't really care about the rich upper class. Because they are the absolute minority.

What concerns me is the masses. The millions of people who are suffering from the current occupation and the corrupt puppet regime of Kharzai.

If you think this is flourish and progress, why won't you go and live in let's say Logar? Or Maybe in Ghor? How about Badghis?

I tell you why. Because you don't want to become victim of violence, extortion, intimidation, bombing and pillagings.

So what education and flourishing are you talking about?

I would like to understand really Karzai's background better.
I thought he was some sort of unimportant aide to Gailani during the Anti-Soviet fight.
But he was not in the field as a fighter, am I right?

I dislike Karzai immensely, just a phony through and through.

It is indeed difficult to term him "president" for he would never have come to power in any normal situation.

Karmal better than he ?? Karmal must have had some hidden attributes of which I am not aware!

I am all FOR a summit of these three countries. In theory. However, it seems a waste of time because Karzai will not assumedly be in power that much longer, so any agreements reached may not have time to take affect. I don't know anything about that Tajikistan leader. Was he a re-constituted Communist? Or was that an earlier one.

I would love to see cooperation between the three countries.
I thought it was a nice idea that 5 or so countries participated in a Nawruz celebration this year. Uzbekistan and maybe Kazakhstan were included.
No one can argue with Nawruz !

However, for sure Khyber Khan [I think that is his name] is accurate that for Karzai, these meetings with Iranian figures are way for him to build regional legitimacy.
Perhaps, too, Karzai is confiding in Ahmadinejad that he's fed up with American officials telling him every last move to make and asking for some kind of help from the Islamic Republic. I betcha this is it, too.

There is a contradiction in your statement...at the begining of post you are saying that punjabis are biggest enemies of pashtuns but at the end you are saying that mohajirs are killing them? who are the real enemies?

I also dislike the failures of pakistan but not the country itself.......i do not deny that i am pakistani.....
