While it's true many are Persian-speakers many are not Aymaqs may have had some degree of assimilation. but isn't this dissolution of their cultural heritage exactly what is being grieved about by KMD2010 and Daryeh? Seems simply an issue of bias than concern for cultural preservation.
its retarded to bring Nuristanis and Aymaqs in somethings about Arab imperialism. Aimaqs are Persian speakers to begin with. there are total 132k Nuristanis (can you Go independent with such Small amount people?), and about half a million Aimaqs. Your analogy is retarded.

Regardless they still exist. This means they are not being assimilated, despite their low total population.

It's not retarded at all, it demomnstrates the inconsistency of your beliefs. It shows that you're fine with Persians and Pashtuns exintinguishing native culture's but God forbid learning other languages while still being able to keep and preserve your own, and you'll cry Imperialim, even though it's incorrectly being used here.

No Aimaq's aren't Persian speakers to begin with, Who told you that? They were originally Turkic speakers, their name "Aimaq" is Turkic. they're ethnically Turkic peoples. The reason why many speak Persian now is precisely because they lost their original culture. If you're really concerned, why no outrage?

13 K people? so what? You're changing goal posts!

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Yes its retarded....Nuristanis still exist and will exist as Long as they want to keep their culture/identity/language alive...same cannot be said about Middle East which Arabs completely absorbed...

aimaqs speak Persian because their mother tongue is Persian...they are racially Persian with some Turkic admix.

Right Kurds still exist,, Turks still exist, Berbers still exist, Assyrians still exist, Syraic still exists, all in MENA. By your own metrics then there was no "Imperialism"

No, The word Aimaq is turkic, they're not ethnically Persian. Read up Kid.

          Aimaq - Minority Rights Group

They are a subgroup of the Turkish population and most of them have Mongoloid features. They claim to be the ancestors of Genghis Khan's soldiers. There are several different subgroups that belong in the same family of tribes including the Taimani, Firozkohi, Jamshidi and Hazara.
Nuristani will continue to exist ...is that why it's cosnidered an Endangered language?

Yes minority languages in Afghanistan like the Pamiri languages, Nuristani, Pashayi are at risk with Persian and Pashto being the dominant languages in Afghanistan. That is a problem. What you don't understand is that Arabic being a third official language will worsen the situation.

We're talking about Lingua Franca, not "official language" your argumentg loses merit on the basis of strawman fallacy.

But let's take your strawman assumption and respond to it. There's nothing to suggest this would be the case except your own bias. ....have anything besides your bias which would make this the case?

That doesn't make any sense. Talib is an Arabic word, does that mean that the Taliban are Arabs? Tajik is also a Turkic word.. does it mean that i mean Turkic?

Amy's are Iranians. Most of Herat and Ghor are populated with Aymaqs. I know plenty of them and they all claim to be Tajiks despite many of them having Turkic features. Regardless their ethnic background their language is Persian.

False equivalence, we're talking about ethnic identity, not an ad-hoc group or movement, like "Talib" who just adopted the name to describe the movement. Furthermore I already showed that Aimaqs are of Turkic origin which means their original language would not have been Farsi.

All you're revealing with these examples is the cultural destruction of the Aimaq's was to such a thorough degree that they forgot their origins and adopt another identity.

Cultural assimilation has been a constant throughout history. Every single people has suffered at some point that fate. This includes Tajiks, Pashtuns and of course Aymaqs.

Claiming Aymaqs are Turkic its utter BS. That would mean that most of Herat and Ghor are Turkic too which is nonsense.

I agree thus these claims being made by Daryeh and KMD2010 are comoletely off base.

They are Turkic people though, at least in origin.

Some of them might have Turkic origin but most of them are definitely Iranian. Herati Aymaqs have Iranic features, they speak Farsi and they consider themselves Tajiks. I see no reason to not consider them Tajiks.

There was this Afghan general, Mohayedin Ghori, who died like two months ago he was an Aymaq from Ghor. Despite his obvious Turkic features he always considered himself Tajik.

                        • We don't need Arabic to understand God's messege or communicate with God.
We should also avoid going Umrah and donate that money to the needy instead of filling the coffers of fat Arab Sheikhs. We should focus on English as its the international language of knowledge. Let the Arabs worry about preserving there language, there is 400 million of them. Our own language is in dire need of attention and thats where we should spend our energy and resources. There is no benifit in learning Arabic at all.

I hope you apply that logic for everything. I mean you don't waste your money filling the coffers of greedy fat corporation executives.

I have heard that before and it just doesn't make any sense. A good friend of mine, who use to trapel to other countries on a regular basis for fun, told me he won't go to Makka because he is against wasting his money on Arabs. For some reason he was ok with the idea of going to Thailand to have sex with prostitutes but Ummra/Hajj was a big no, something inmoral. Hilarious lol

The idea of boycotting act of worship in order to prevent Arabs from getting rich is hilarious. Most of these guys still drive cars running on fuel from Arab countries.

I am all for punishing Saudis. In fact I believe the holy sites shouldn't be dominated by them but by another Muslim authority.

But I don't think they will feel anything if some people stop attending pilgrimage.

Not a huge fan of KSA at all but all this anti-Saudi hysteria is annoying and hilarious. I know plenty of Europeans talking BS against Saudis and admiring Kurds. Most of them don't even know whats the difference between both, they have never met any Saudi or Kurd,.. but for some reason they are always trying to lecture you.

I used to live in UAE. Never been to KSA but I am met many of them. On weekends, holidays,.. Saudis from Damam, Riyadh, Jaddah,.. used to come Dubai. Most of them were nice people, quiet educated and not fanatic at all. I used to hang more with Saudis than with Iranians (I find northern Iranians extremely arrogant and white wannabes. Southern Iranians are damn nice people).
