If you ask me, i am more concerned about their centre being in lahore, raiwind and there leaders, top mullahs being punjabis, our islam shouldnt be controlled from punjab. There are chances that tablighi jamaat might have backing from punjabi establishment who want pashtuns to be pacifists and gandhis
Tableeghi Jamaat is a very shrewd organization. They keep low profile to avoid criticism and attention. This is why they get visas for other countries and people in Pakistan, India or Bangladesh do not look at them at a critical eye.

I am not generalizing and saying that each and every Tableeghi is bad. I am talking against their ideology and their modus operandi. The way they work and think, promote extremism and terrorism. As according to you Punjab is the enemy of Pashtuns, but you cannot say each Punjabi is bad. You may have your argument and in the same way my mission is to expose this highly dangerous organization but I am not against individual Tableeghis.

Their leadership is Punjabi or Indian but in Raiwand every other Tableeghi is Pashtun. Their strong representation is only in Pashtun areas as Deobandi Islam is shared by Tableeghis while majority of non Pashtuns follow Brelvi Islam which opposes Tableeghi Jamaat.

Please read this article about their designs

Dress designing is an art but he is a born singer not a designer. Look at his songs. What symphony and melody he has in his voice. He was a great musician and singer. Tableegh and Islamism compelled junaid to be a tailor or dress designer which has nothing to do with his voice or music.

If he is a Tableeghi and a singer then I would have no problem but it is not possible because Tableegh is anti-life and anti-music. He is giving a message that singing is a sin and all those who are singing or involved with music are bad people as he shun it after joining Tableegh. This way many young people will not join music and dance as profession or hobby to follow his bad example and thus talent will be killed.

• Some important excerpts from the well documented and researched article

The largest group of religious proselytizers of any faith, they are part of the reason for the explosive growth of Islamic religious fervor and conversion.

Tablighi Jamaat officials work to remain outside of both media and governmental notice. Tablighi Jamaat neither has formal organizational structure nor does it publish details about the scope of its activities, its membership, or its finances. By eschewing open discussion of politics and portraying itself only as a pietistic movement, Tablighi Jamaat works to project a non-threatening image.

The austere and egalitarian lifestyle of Tablighi missionaries and their principled stands against social ills leads many outside observers to assume that the group has a positive influence on society.

Governments normally intolerant of independent movements often make an exception for Tablighi Jamaat.

Yet, the Pakistani experience strips the patina from Tablighi Jamaat's façade. Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif (1990-93; 1997-99), whose father was a prominent Tablighi member and financier, helped Tablighi members take prominent positions. For example, in 1998, Muhammad Rafique Tarar took the ceremonial presidency while, in 1990, Javed Nasir assumed the powerful director-generalship of the Inter-Services Intelligence, Pakistan's chief intelligence agency.

The prominent Deobandi cleric and scholar Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Kandhalawi (1885-1944) launched Tablighi Jamaat in 1927 in Mewat, India, not far from Delhi. From its inception, the extremist attitudes that characterize Deobandism permeated Tablighi philosophy. Ilyas's followers were intolerant of other Muslims and especially Shi'ites, let alone adherents of other faiths.

They rejected modernity as antithetical to Islam, excluded women, and preached that Islam must subsume all other religions. The creed grew in importance after Pakistani military dictator Zia ul-Haq encouraged Deobandis to Islamize Pakistan.

But, in practice, all Tablighis preach a creed that is hardly distinguishable from the radical Wahhabi-Salafi jihadist ideology that so many terrorists share.

Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

The West's misreading of Tablighi Jamaat actions and motives has serious implications for the war on terrorism. Tablighi Jamaat has always adopted an extreme interpretation of Sunni Islam, but in the past two decades, it has radicalized to the point where it is now a driving force of Islamic extremism and a major recruiting agency for terrorist causes worldwide.

Tablighi Jamaat has long been directly involved in the sponsorship of terrorist groups. Pakistani and Indian observers believe, for instance, that Tablighi Jamaat was instrumental in founding Harakat ul-Mujahideen.

The Tablighi movement is also very active in northern Africa where it became one of the four groups that founded the Islamic Salvation Front in Algeria. Moroccan authorities are currently prosecuting sixty members of the Moroccan Tablighi offshoot Dawa wa Tabligh in connection with the May 16, 2003 terrorist attack on a Casablanca synagogue.

The group has provided logistical support and helped procure travel documents. Many take advantage of Tablighi Jamaat's benign reputation. Moroccan authorities say that leaflets circulated by the terrorist group Al-Salafiyah al-Jihadiyah urged their members to join Islamic organizations that operate openly, such as Tablighi Jamaat, in order "to hide their identity on the one hand and influence these groups and their policies on the other.

Pakistani intelligence sources report that 400 American Tablighi recruits received training in Pakistani or Afghan terrorist camps since 1989.

The estimated 15,000 Tablighi missionaries reportedly active in the United States present a serious national security problem.

Every fall, over a million almost identically dressed, bearded Muslim men from around the world descend on the small Pakistani town of Raiwind for a three-day celebration of faith. Similar gatherings take place annually outside of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and

tableegh is anti life... hahaha
I think you have very limited information about tableeghi jamaat and thier people or you are doing all this deliberately to defame them and dismantle their mission but you will never be able to do it.
For your kind information, those who loose hope in life come to tableegh and find life. Very educated people coming to tableegh, you would be surprised that most of the people in tableegh are businessmen, traders, educationists and from all walks of life.
I don't know where you living. Come on, come out of your limited extreme world. jeo aur jeeney do mr badlun. hahahah

2. The other factor to be noted is the context/premises. Islam, globally and at various periods in history and in various societies, has faced multifarious hurdles and experiences. I suppose there are built-in mechanisms in our faith to muster ourselves adequately to confront/overcome these.
Islam as a religion yes but not as a political or economic or cultural system. Most of the Muslim world is the least developed or even the least educated one. Representatives of Islamism like Tableeghi Jamaat, Jamate Islami, Ikhwans, Al Qaeda, Taliban, ISIS all are but total failures.

I agree that the only criterion for Islam is the Kalma and 4 other fundamentals, rest is not necessary for Islam. then yes Islam is a success story.

I have passed many se rozas(3 days) and haftas(weeks) with Tableeghis. I have been to Raiwand many times. I have met personally Maulana Abdul Wahab and Maulana Tariq Jameel. one of my relative was Muqeem(permanent resident) in Raiwand and I used to visit him and met many senior Tablighis and saw their work for Pakistan and the world closely. I remebr shapg numbarey(6 points) by heart. I joined a jumaat of chela(40 days) and have met many delegations of Tablighis is various countries.

Tableeghi Jumat is anti life because they talk only of Here after not this world. They like any Wahabi person are against all forms of enjoyment like music, art, dance, poetry, literature even journalism, TV, Cinema, exhibitions, tours for worldly entertainment etc. Their long beads with turbans present a wild picture. Compare the clean shaven Junaid with the Mullah he is now.

I agree with you on "jeo aur jeenay do" and that they are not exactly devoid of life and cheerfulness, badlun is irreligous ,he is vewing them from his own percpective. But he is also very correct on some points. E.g these tablighi morons are into "rahbaniyat" type of tarteeb which translates into "turke duniya" in urdu. While akhirat is indeed the goal, the testing ground is this earth. Islam is for this life on earth. These tablighi morons dont get it, i have found them discouraging students from school/colleges, calling it useless wordly activity in the end and instead investing time on meaningful activity like tabligh for akhirat. Their book fazail amaal is full of weak hadith, false hadith and fabricated stories. Their tarteeb of seh roza, ashra, chila etc is kind of bid'ah in islam.
In short it is job of mullahs to do tabligh, a layman should rather focus on "amar bil maroof wa nahi ulil munkar" while living full life within society, not going into isolations, for that we aitikaf in ramadan

Well the society as a whole has become very complex in when it comes to chosing which method to apply first and which later. Thier main goal is to do tazkia nafs the very first step of the deen so I think they are doing a great job calling people to the right way without any force and people are coming happily. You are wrong they are not for rehbaniyat. There are more businessmen educationists in tableegh than any other religious group. Don't drag them into politics. Badlun is not happy with the political role of the muslims. Badlun has his own issues and agenda. Don't trust him.

Badlun surely is on agenda but my views on punjab-controlled tabligh are established since long. I am not a irreligous or secular guy, yet i find tablighi jamaat an innovation/bid'aa in islam. There is tabligh in islam, but dont confine it to tablighi jamaat of maulana iliyas.

My criticism on Tablighi Jamat is mainly because of their extremism and preparing grounds for terrorism in Pashtun areas and uprooting local Pashtun culture and total submission to Arab culture and Islamism. I am not irreligious or atheist but a Sufi Muslim and considering Islam important not Islamism. I am a Muslim but not Islamist.

I know that Tablighi Jumat is equally criticized by other Muslim sects or groups. For example the following points are note worthy.

The movement of Tableeghi Jamaat is being utilised by the enemies of Islam as an effective instrument in their struggle to prevent the emergence of a true Islamic movement in Europe and elsewhere in the world.

Tableeghi Jamaat wants to be an exclusive sect of Muslims, which excludes all other Muslims who do not follow its peculiar definition of what it means to convey the message of Islam

Even the Kaafir authorities positively welcome what is happening, as they clearly do in the case of the Tableeghi Jamaat, because they know that other than the true Islam is being propagated.

This is the reason why the Tableeghi Jamaat moves freely in Kufaar countries in Europe and the rest of the world, while other Muslims are being imprisoned, tortured, and killed on a daily basis. In Israel, under Zionist control, the Jamaat is allowed free access to any part to do "Allah's Work" while Palestinian men, women and children, who are opposing Zionist rule, are tortured and killed.

SOME OF THEIR MAKRUH? PRACTICES

(1) EATING AND SLEEPING IN MOSQUES
(2) RECRUITMENT DRIVES
(3) THEY REGARD ALL OTHERS AS INFERIOR MUSLIMS
(4) IGNORING THE MESSAGE OF ISLAM TO BE GIVEN TO THE KUFAAR
(5) LARGE NUMBERS THAT ATTEND THE IJTIMA: If the leaders of the Tableeghi Jamaat are sincere, let them hold their next annual gathering on the East bank of Jordan and let them cross the river and march to Al-Quds and liberate it from Jewish/Zionist occupation.

THE UNANSWERED QUESTIONS:

The Jamaat claims that it is a Sunnah of the Prophets and the Sahaba and, on the other hands, it says that Molvi Ilyas is the founder of this movement. The questions we ask, are:-

1. If, in reality, this is a Sunnah of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) as claimed, then it must be proven by authentic Islamic books that the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and his Sahaba also used to form Jamaats and do Ghast and Tableegh of Kalimah and Namaaz amongst Muslims.

2. Why was this Sunnah ignored for 1 419 years? Do we classify all the past spiritual luminaries as anti-Sunnah?

3. If this is a Sunnah practice, then surely Molvi Ilyas cannot be its founder. But, if he is the founder, then obviously this type of Tableegh did not exist before him. It is a Bid'ah!

It is the religious duty of the members of Tableeghi Jamaat to clarify the position with their Tableegh work and deceiving the Muslim community. The answers are obvious. This is a new movement founded by a Molvi Ilyas and definitely not a Sunnah.

FALSE BELIEF 4: "To think of an ox and donkey in Salaah is permissible, but to think of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in Salaah is Shirk (Polytheism)." ("Seerate Mustaqeem" by Ismaeel Dehlwi).

FALSE BELIEF 8: "Rahmatul Lil Alameen" (Mercy unto the Worlds) is not a special title of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), but the Ummati are also "Rahmatul Lil Alameen". ("Fatawa Rasheedia")

1. We declare that the Tableeghi Jamaat is, by its own admission, a deviant sect of Islam and that it is being used by the enemies of Islam to help them in their continuing battle to prevent governance by the laws of Allah from being re-established in the world.

2. We therefore call on the leadership of the Tableeghi Jamaat to acknowledge that they are directly responsible for the misguidance of millions of Muslims and to abandon their present programme which only furthers the interest of the enemies of Allah.

3. We therefore call on all members of the Tableeghi Jamaat to reject the subversive role they have been unwittingly persuaded to play and leave this sect which is being used by the enemies of Islam to prevent Allah's Deen being restored and governance by His Laws re-established.

4. We therefore call on all Muslims to disown the Tableeghi Jamaat and to discourage its activities by refusing to give its members permission to sleep in mosques and to use them for their activities. And we call on all Muslims to reject the modernist perspective of Islam that they have been given to and respond to Allah and His Messenger (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) by giving their wealth and lives to see the totality of Islam once again re-established on the earth.

Few cricketers touring for cricket does not mean millions of Tableeghis are enjoying life. I have read many times that the coach of Pakistani team Bob criticized the over zeal of cricketers for Tableegh and not for the game. This is cited as one reason for the [poor performance of Pakistani cricket team. For details see here

disturbing article on the growing influence of the TJ on many members of the Pakistani cricket team and its negative impact on the performance of the team in recent years.

Woolmer attributed the decline in the performance of the Pakistani cricket team in recent years to the growing influence of the TJ on some of the players, including the Captain, and their consequent indifference to training. They believed that they could win by praying. When the TJ preachers were there in the hotel during tours,Inzimam and other TJ players used to ignore Woolmer and did not heed his instructions. He reportedly felt that their loyalty was more to the TJ preachers than to him. It is said that this often became a contentious issue between Inzimam and the coach.

Now how they attract such people and these people remain happy, one should look into their psychological tactic as explained below

In fact, what they do, in the manner of Christian evangelists, is to play on the guilt of insecure people and then offer them an emotional environment in which they can redeem themselves and find others in a similar plight who are ready for the same treatment. Such "conversions" are frequently very superficial and sometimes superficially quite dangerous for the individuals concerned.

who confines himself to tabligh ? The point to understand is that tabligh is not for the scholars or for those who already understand islam very well.
Main purpose of the tabligh is to provide an islamic environment to those people who are away from the right path, those who are too much into this worldly things and materialistic world. Tabligh is not the highest point, but it is the first step to reach to the highest point. and you know everyone has to take the first step to get to the top point.

• Badlun nothing suggests that you are a muslim. I am a "sufi" and i am against "arab culture", i have heard this non-sense before. You are definately on some one's agenda. But i am not interested to know about it.The criticism you copy pasted is from their rival bareilwi sect who have problems with them over mosques. Bareilwis are punjabis who themeselves are poor when it comes to saum o salat and are themeselves into lot of bid'aa, not interested in hearing stuff from dhalkhori muslims.
Like i said there is tabligh in islam but it doesnt have to be one started by iliyas with tanzeemi pattren. Infact tablighis are doing partial job, there is no "nahi unil munkar" in their preaching. A muslim can do preaching any where, if islah of muslims is purpose then you dont have to go gujranwala for that. First start from your family and focus on islah of the society you are living in.

I agree with you on this, it does provide enviroment and starting point and can be beneficial for the lost ones. But on principle, you cant run away from world and worldly things and go into an isolated enviroment, this world and life full of distractions, sins, materialism etc is your examination hall.
