why cant we just rule our country for our benefit instead for Islam?? now dont tell me Afghans prefer being ruled Islamically 'cuz opposition against Taliban says more than enuf abt their wishes. No I never said Pakistan wishes Afghan developmentOriginally posted by Zahed View PostPakiiland 'n wishing AFG development?? is that why Taliban was so much against education and economic progress?? Jalaluddin's reason to encourage ppl wasnt same as those of Pakiis whose own hero Zinnah couldnt stop his own daughter from marrying a kaafir! 'n abt Darya, buddy, Darya's family still own a big land of Kunduz 'n his own father was a millionaire 'n even Darya earned so much money that he could enjoy rest of his life in USA 'n would never even need AFG. when ppl want to enjoy life they usually do it in west not risk their lives in AFG. 'n lets say its true he's helping the poor for himself. but lets someone snatches ur wallet 'n runs away 'n someone else stops him 'n gives u back ur wallet 'cuz at that time there's someone else with the saviour whose respect 'll grow for the saviour. the saviour is a bad guy 'n he only helped u 'cuz he wanted to increase his respect in other ppl's heart. 're u goin' to thank him 'cuz he helped u? or 'll u ignore him 'n speak of ill of him 'cuz he did it with a reason?? poor Afghans dont care abt WHY ppl help them 'cuz they need help regardlessly
but remember Pakistan is really just a proxy of America and Britain; so really when dealing with Pakistan you're dealing with puppets of Imperialism.
I'm saying if Pakistan says stuff about Science and Math; should we reject science and Math because Pakistan said so? That would be ludicrous; similarly just because Pakistan veils itself under Muslim identity doesn't make Pan Islamic Movement invalid.
Remember Pan Islamic movement started in Afghanistan, with Sayyid Jamaluddin Al Afghani, before the idea of Pakistan even existed.
Actually poor Afghans do care why people help them; because it was because Soviets came in pretending to "help" poor Afghans but only to promote their immoral culture that Afghanistan ended up in massive war and environmental destruction creatiing more poore afghans and orphans

This is a false dichotomy; opposition against Taliban isn't due to not wanting to be ruled Islamically; it's because they are corrupt. If Afghans didnt want to be ruled Islamically; then there would not be so much anger when people burn the Qur'an.
Amanullah's cooperation with Germany affected us economically because it allowed the British to divide our regions so we could not have access to our own resources. rather than focus on establishing local unity; He sought slavery to Germany. he could have expelled the British from South Asia so we could establish a powerful interregional economic cooperative.

No no no, nowhere am I speaking as a proud Pukhtana, I am just ridiculing your myth of Farsiwan greatness and Pukhton evilness.Originally posted by Albani_Rahmat_Kabulzada View PostIt´s time wasting with you discussing anything from an objective view. Your comments are based on your pride as Pashtun and many fake myths about Pashtuns.
I see, and prove of that is the fact not even one Mujahid remained in Kabul when Taliban came? Despite of all the critics against Najibullah (a Pukhtoon), even he was more of a man to face Taliban till his death. Non of your Khorasani Mujahideen remained in Kabul after Taliban's arrival and the fact that except for Massoud all of them are alive says enough about their so-called dedication!Originally posted by Albani_Rahmat_Kabulzada View PostThey were men enough fighting the slaves to death.

That's exactly what Massoud and Rabbani's men have already done, and that's exactly his Northern Alliance followers have done. Zahir Shah brought in foreign advisers, founded the first modern university, and fostered cultural and commercial relations with Europe. During his reign, Afghanistan enjoyed a period of stability. Afghanistan also became a popular destination for Western travellers wanting to view its rugged mountains and relics of ancient civilisations.

Arab contingents settled throughout various parts of present day Afghanistan including the Wardak, Logar, Kabul, Balkh and in the Sulaiman Mountains. Over time they adopted local customs and languages, some became Persianized while others became Afghanized who followed Pashtunwali. This is confirmed in the 15th century work, Baburnama, which notes that the Arabs of Afghanistan have virtually lost the Arabic language and instead speak Persian and Pashto language.

Albani has raised an interesting question and the answer given by everyone has shown whose bias is where.
Those that are pashtoon (excepting DJZ) find it easy to turn racist and make racist jokes..swordboy saying "pashtoon women" are more mardana than tajiks shows why he is so anti-massood. Shayesta believes in the myth that pashtoons are an infallible people and have never betrayed Afghanistan. Nick says that it's ok to kick out Hazaras ...but uzbecks can stay...he is personally more familiar with the later and not as much with the former.
Pashtoons have to realize who they are first before they can go around telling others who or what they are and where they should go.
First go tell the 20 million pashtoons in Pakistan who they are. They seem severely confused as to what their roots are. Most of you pashtoons from Afghanistan, like Amir Al Ghaznawi and even Admin Khan have repeatedly said that the word Pashtoon and Afghan are synonymous. You should all go and first convince the pashtoons in Pakistan of that logic....then come and tell me not to call my self Afghan.
It wasn't a Persian ...a farsiwan ..who sold half of Afghanistan to the British Raj. It was a pashtoon. One of those Pashtoons who was delegated to sign the accords had even vowed alligences to the Punjabi from Qadian who called himself a prophet. Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, the rival to massood, was and is a dog of the ISI...the fact that he is still alive is proof enough that he is an asset to the enemies of Afghanistan. How many times did Masood go to Pakistan?
I think a few days ago Nick posted a video of a Pashtoon boy poorly singing the national anthem of Pakistan. A member by the name of Shahbaz or something like that said something to the effect " we should be more worried that the boy doesn't know urdu". When I read things like that on this forum... I get the idea that Pashtoons won't ever be able to build a country. If you have no sense of identity, you have no country. Afghaniayat is a state of mind ...its not a language your mother teaches you...or a gene you are born with. The real Afghans know that Afghaniyat is being lost and diluted by nothing else but ignorance and a lack of proper education. Everyone likes to believe that they are born special, very few would want to be special. If you live in Afghanistan, you are Afghan. I consider myself an Afghan in the making, because it is my dream and wish to return to Afghanistan. The rest of you can shoot as much hot air as you want...you won't make the ice over the Hindu Kush melt down and flood Afghanistan.Last edited by Alchemist; 05-29-2011, 12:11 AM.

@Alchemist
Before jumping to conclusions bother yourself to read the entire discussion. I never ever claimed Pukhtoons haven't done any harm, all I proved to Kabulzada is if a Pukhtoon has betrayed Afghanistan then Tajiks haven't fallen far behind. It's him, Kabulzada, who keeps defending from Massoud, to Fahim, to Kalakani, to Rabbani just for ethnic's sake and when a Pukhtoon does the same for Taliban, or Najibullah, or Daud Khan then he is being called a coward terrorist. Not just that, even his accusations of how all Pukhtoons are homos and it's us, Pukhtoons, who have spread homosexuality to the entire region. Whatever you just accused me and the rest of doing is exactly the purpose Kabulzada has joined this forum for. He is not new to this e-world, I recognize these words.
All I can make out from your posts is that you have hardly followed even half of the discussions going on.Gar Jahanum Sakhtam Ferdaws Ham Mesazamat

If it was about forcing Namaz or forcing beards; then most Afghans would have burned the Qur'an themselves.Originally posted by Zahed View Postforcing chadari on women, forcing beards on men, forcing namaz during prayer times, not allowing tv/ radia etc got nothin' to do with corruption bro. 'n even most westenized Afghans were fumin' at the quran burnin' but that doesnt they prefer to live in an Islamic country where everythin' happens on force. 'n for decades thats all we 've doin', servin' foreigners 'n did we profit??? I btw am not gettin' ur points regardin' Amanullah, plz provide some links for ur claims
I didnt say serve foreigners I said stop being so nationalistically self centered; remember that Nationalism is also a foreign invention; how can you claim to be against Foreigners when you're following the formulas that the foreigners imposed on you. We have to think of the bigger picture; Afghanistan is something made by foreign powers; this is the truth, it's hard for many of us to admit it; but that's why we need to dissolve these artificial boundaries and go back to the Logical Ones.
And if we suffered by foreigners it's because we didnt follow Islam.
