i doubt the american govt would spend any more money pursuing people whos names the american public havent even heard of. eluding death or capture for 10 years, it was a helluva run.

Now on a humanitarian/personal side...if we had special forces teams in...who's to say we couldn't have gotten him sooner? If we got him years ago then the ANA/ANP wouldn't have been created/started up...all the pieces wouldn't have fallen in place as well as they have.

i dont know what u mean. obama said u got intel in august and finally conducted the operation. what does afghanistans security forces have to do with anything?

On the NBC speech, the full speech he said that Pakistan provided the crucial intelligence. Subsequent analysts are saying they provided it after Obama pressed them hard. Williams is saying that the military reports indicate the operation was initiated via a Pakistani helicopter.

Not necessarily, but it doesn't really matter. She is one analyst, and has little bearing on the end game in the region (for that matter nor does Scheuer, Hoh, or me, etc). This could have many implications, one of which could be what you said. However it could completely contrary. Others will say that it started in FATA but now has spread to settled areas..areas which were known to have quality education like abbotabad....which in other words means more war, more operations, etc.
