its a very wide mix man, like just recently the borough of uxbridge got a new mayor i think of bangali ethnicityOriginally posted by randolph85 View Postwhat is the political and social influence of muslims in london and britain in general? from videos, i have seen entire neighborhoods that are muslim dominated and run, not to mention the vocal anti uk sentiment of many of these people. i am thinking that either these communities are backed by some muscle or that the uk just caters to muslims there?
but 2 be honest majority of london is very gang related when it comes to youths and teenagers and many gangs keep to thier own kind.
with the adults and once you mature up its a very mixed place and all of that drops and you learn to respect and live with each other.

oh, and do they have them in compounds, minding their own business?Originally posted by al-arabI see that there are many brothers living in London. How is the city?
I know that it's the center of Arabs outside of the Arab world (especially for the media that is critical of the current puppet regimes and dictators).
I also heard that there are many Iraqi's and Saudi's especially. Not sure if it's true.
I was also told by a friend of mind that many of the people living there are not the best examples for Arabs.
Of course you will have more Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis in London but have the Arabs left their mark at all?
we have some trash iraqis over our way, who are stealing from genuine muslim refugees that are trying to get to australia from afghanistan, iran and iraq, via indonesia and malaysia.

Most Muslims are Pakistanis because Pakistanis are the second largest minority in the UK along with Indians, but there are Muslims of every ethnicity.
From an angle it seems that every one thing is adopting to suit Muslims and their habbits, from "Halal-izing" KFC in major Muslim populated areas, to considering Shari`ah in said regions.
Tooting is another hood near mine, its "Little Pakistan".
Another angle is that White people hate us, but that rarely comes around.
Up North, in Bradford (I've never been), there are vast Pakistani populations, they are mostly from Mirpur in Kashmir.
Muslims are very powerful here.Dark Vader Ghost King El Malo Camello Papa

True actually there is huge money of Muslims involved in the big cities of Europe like London and Paris. That is why they favor them.Originally posted by randolph85 View Postwhat is the political and social influence of muslims in london and britain in general? from videos, i have seen entire neighborhoods that are muslim dominated and run, not to mention the vocal anti uk sentiment of many of these people. i am thinking that either these communities are backed by some muscle or that the uk just caters to muslims there?
I was reading an article of Saleem safi in which said that he interviewed some UK official and the officer told him that a huge amount is coming from Pakistan for the last two three years that is why we support them and not making troubles for them. Imagine these countries are running from our money. inside story

I heard a few bad stories about Arabs from Edgeware Road unfortuntaly. Of course I imagine it applies only to a minority.
I found this video of Iraqis and Saudis celebrating after Iraq's Asian World Cup (or what that is called) win in 2007. Very funny although they might have taken it too far but I understand their happiness given the situation in Iraq in 2007 and what that victory meant. It's like winning the EURO just for whole Asia.

True most of the Arabs are from other countries but I was talking about the Schanzalize street and central Paris where an ordinary person can't even shop. But the elites of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Arab Emarates are doing business there. These guys shop there in such an expensive place.Originally posted by al-arabAre most Muslims in Paris not form West Africa and Berbers from Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia?

In London, people in general relate Muslim culture with Pakistani culture.Originally posted by randolph85 View Postwhat is the political and social influence of muslims in london and britain in general? from videos, i have seen entire neighborhoods that are muslim dominated and run, not to mention the vocal anti uk sentiment of many of these people. i am thinking that either these communities are backed by some muscle or that the uk just caters to muslims there?
For example, I got a leaflet in the post about my local Teco's Ramadan offers and it was all chapatis and Indian samosas and Basmati rice and onion bhajjis and Rubicon mango juice etc (all associated with Pakistani/South Asian culture) that were being discounted. I was like 'eh..'
Many of the young Muslims in London and I guess the UK have a chance of becoming vey extremist, more so than anywhere else in the west I think. That isn't helped with the English Defence League who help to provoke young Muslims into extremising themselves and the likes of Anjem Choudry who flame the sentiments. It should be noted though that this is less profound in London since the EDL and the extremists have far less influence than in other areas of the country, particularly in the north.
I don't think London is like Luton or Bradford where the Muslim communities are self-segregated and most of the women you see are burka-clad. London is very multicultural so you may see people in burkas or hijabs or nothing on their heads. The Muslim communities are seperated within themselves though (i.e. Afghan mosques for mainly Afghans etc). My old local mosque in Sothall would always do the khutbah in Urdu which I found really really annoying because I didn't understand a word. In Southall, the Muslims live with other peoples and religions (Sikhs, Hindus, Christians) so they are more intergrated than say Bradford. Hence you see more diversity. It's the same case with the rest of London.---
To advise others is an easy matter, the difficulty is accepting advice -- since it is bitter for those who follow their
own inclinations and desires.
