So I have to post thousands of times to be granted access.
Abubakkar I love your idea but I think its hard to implement. I love PF the way it is. I love how it looks. I love its members. The mods are nice and as a woman I feel comfortable here.
Lets count how many have post above 5000, erm 1 or 2 and i think master khan he is a boy eyeliner not sure about her.
so in the begning you have to be with the boys and go through 500 post so you can see whats happening there, if you really want to discusses something send private message.
also as feroza described the current girls how many of them know each other personally? a flawed suggestion by someoen with a narrow mind.
Ok first off no need for calling ppl narrow minded etc etc. I think it's a great suggestion and I've seen it successful in other forums ...be it an afghan forum or an islamic forum.
Two, even if these PRIVATE SUB SECTIONS are made, I haven't seen people discuss their deepest secrets...
For girls it's usually been about girl issues, sicknesses, hijab, relationships with their parents? / husband? ... stuff where they'd rather not have such a large audience for... not a place to share pictures or whatever other stuff that would be very personal..
For guys it's usually been about how blessed they are to have mothers/sisters/wives..in their lives, alhamdulillah.
As far as the 5000 posts idea, that'd mean there'd be a few if not less people on the sub forums and no point really. Plus too much work as well...
Anyways Feroza's idea of the Battle of Genders forum isn't a bad idea either ...
I think as a community we are still new and growing. As time progresses, we will have this idea on our tables. Feedback is definently appreciated. If I recall correctly, I remember DaZahroJaam in the past promoting this idea. Iqra makes great sense and the opposing side in a way also makes sense.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
