What do you think Manzareh?
I'm thinking if I was a resident of pak but now in another country to get an education in a year of stud.... I would most probably just study lol.

Seriously though if that masters degree would mean anything to me I defo wouldn't be traveling around..if Mr.Pakistan is travelling whilst doing his masters either it means he picked some BS easy subject or it was just an excuse to get as far away from pak as possible lol.

This is the norm though tbh, in the west if you have had a normal education, by the time you finish basic degree level at university you will have spoken and met hundreds of foreign students and many, many Pakistanis - I think it's safe to say it's well known the odds of them NOT thinking about staying away from Pakistan for as long as possible will be something like 5000/1 .. The neo-nationalistic and patriotic ones though. I never understood that, but then I took a look at their leaders and notice the same circle - all invest in the west, have their official homes in London and US and dictate Pakistani politics while having Sunday roast and wine 1000's of miles away cheering on people similar to what we see come to PF now and again $$*chaa Ching*$$ it's an ideology, nationalism will always suppress the masses.

So in other words it's better than Pakistan right?

I never compared Pakistan with UK or US and said it was better but its better than most developing countries . The important thing is that it is improving in all indexes for this year . As for the passport and looking for a female yes its a norm for geeks like you who have never seen a female in his life but currently am already engaged to my GF who intends to stay in Pakistan .

So in other words it's better than Pakistan right?

I have no problem accepting if a particular country is better than Pakistan . My Favourite thing to do is still sipping tea sitting on my terrace in Islamabad .

Never claimed it was, there's blatant inconsistencies in your story.

I don't blame you for running out of Pakistan to find better education elsewhere, but your disingenuous patriotic bantering is put to rest by the fact you yourself clearly see your facilities back home as inferior.

Either way, good luck, work hard.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

If going for 1/1.5 years is running out then I have nothing to say . Running out would be the Afghans who pay millions of rupees just to sit in an overloaded rubber boat and stay there forever .

Your Average Pakistani university has a much harder syllabus . My Cousin is in Electrical Engineering in University of Glasgow (A world ranking university ) and he says the syllabus is lighter and much more accommodating . There are alot of other factors involved . If you have to get in NUST , LUMS , Agha khan or IBA like universities you have to get through thousands of students who appear for the entry test followed by a rigorous interview. UK/US/Australian Universities aren't like that they just check your last degree or A levels result despite being a prestigious university .

Current Best MBA in Pakistan is offered by LUMS and is a top 300 Business School in the world .

              MBA | LUMS

Lets compare it a prestigious MBA in UK from lets say University of Bath .

Entry Requirements & Fees | The Bath MBA | School of Management | University of Bath

Bath even though has the better ranking offers less modules and is much easier to get into . Its the same problem with Indian IIT's .

No running out is leaving your country because the facilities are subpar. Afghans are trying to avoid terrorists being sent from their corrupt neighbor trying to sabotage their country. Big difference.

claiming the syllabus is harder, is not evidence of the quality of education. The evidence is the quality of graduates, for Pakistan is very low on the world scale. So I don't blame you ....Pakistan for getting so much Foreign AID still hasn't been able produce quality graduates. Even Pakistan's best minds, got their degrees from foreign lands.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Again getting into an engineering in NUST or an MBA in LUMS is 10x harder . You have to sit through entry tests (which thousands of others take ) and get shortlisted followed by an extensive interview . China faces the same dillema that is why China is the biggest source of International students to the world Would you call the facilities subpar there ?

Even Pakistan's best minds, got their degrees from foreign lands.

That was true pre - Musharraf's time . Many of the world class institutues in Pakistan today were made in his time and much of the quality is produced by these universities .

In pakistan the educational pedagogy is rote learning. So while superficially that seems to cover more, it rarely tests comprehension of material. This is why Pakistan is still not a research hub even in post-Musharraf times.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

That hasn't stopped Pakistani's from achieving great things in O/A Levels . We have one of the largest enrolment rates of Cambridge International Exams .

Cambridge results: Record setting year for Pakistanis - The Express Tribune

ISLAMABAD: Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) announced O’ and A’ Level results on Thursday.

Schools in Pakistan made over 270,000 entries for Cambridge qualifications this year, an increase of seven per cent over last year. The names of high achievers across the world will be announced in January after detailed analysis of the results.

As for our Matric system its outdated and needs to be revised . But if you have a great mind you won't be bogged down by that . Most of Pakistan's Nuclear Scientists have come out of this system .

In America, no one even knows what O/A levels are. So basically that's like saying you did well in Underwater Basket Weaving or something like that. But the same response applies here, if all these O/A things were reflective of producing quality graduates, then we'd see a competitive Pakistani research establishment. Most Pakistanis study abroad, because the quality is better and they'd rather live in the West. It's just the reality of what's out there.

Finding Google Articles that have Comforting headlines doesn't demonstrate achievement, Actual examples of output, like research, innovation and etc. does.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

You calling O/A levels underwater basket is ignorance at its best . But I am not surprised given Afghan students basically have no achievements to show for in their own system or any other System . If you want to Get into Oxford/Cambridge or the Ivy leagues your CIE grades decides if you pass the preliminary stage or not .

No Amount of Pakistan's output , research , Achievements will satisfy you because you are an Afghan By DNA . I regularly watch your media talk shows concerning Pakistan and the amount of Insecurity/Jealousy/butthurtness on display for Pakistan is a mind boggling to see . Your posts remind me of those Talk shows .
