Well I'll tell you how, when you say "toxic" you mean it's hard to accept, difficult to manage, something so horrifying and terrifying to most humans they're averse to it. Truth is something very difficult to manage, most people have a hard time confronting it and most people don't want to accept it. It's TOO Brutal. Islam describes a cosmology and existence which is harsh, it requires a strong person to accept it, the weak avoid it, look desperately for ways to decry or desperate and unsuccessful attempts to discredit it.

hence the most toxic one is probably the one that's closest to the truth.

    any questions?

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

I guess people aren't up to date.
There are no Scientific Miracles in Quran.
It's a lie that Muslims keep spreading to help keep their faith.

....there are other colloquial usages of the word cosmology.....would have expected you could have comprehended that by the fact that I used the term "harsh" afterwards, which is clearly not a description of the physical laws of space and time

But also even on this point you're wrong. The Qur'an is multilayered so there are realities within it that are still yet to be uncovered except by those intellectually gifted enough.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

          • It's ok, keep telling yourself that, I'm sure it's more consoling for those of weaker disposition.

No actually more & more people (& Muslims) are realizing it.
The cat is out of the bag.
              All thanks to the Internet.

That's also why many Muslims leave Islam.

There are posers in all communities, losing a few posers who are easily swayed by silly disturbances doesn't reflect anything. Like I said weaker disposition.

Islam is not for the weak, never was.

                    Looooolll. Wrong again:

If Islam is in fact dying because of the internet, there should be a proportionate decrease in the population of Muslims worldwide that corresponds to the exponential growth of the internet. At the minimum, if your hypothesis is true, we would expect to see a significant decrease in the rate at which the Muslim population is growing. However, the chart below shows that not only has the Muslim population been growing, it has been growing at a greater rate than the the rate at which world population has been growing. Back when the internet was invented, Muslims accounted for 20% of the world population, but that number has been steadily increasing and will reach 25% by the year 2020.

So the number of Muslims in the world has not decreased, but what about the growth rate of Islam? We can see in the chart below that the growth rate of Islam has decreased since the advent of the internet. But this alone does not confirm your theory, because we can also see from the chart that the population growth of non-Muslims has been slowing down as well. The growth rate of Islam has been decreasing slightly faster than the rest of the population, but even so, the growth rate is higher for the Muslims than it is for the rest of the population.

By analysing the data, we can conclude that the slowing growth of Islam is unrelated to the rise of the internet. It is much more likely that the decline of the fertility of women in Muslim countries deserves most of the blame. The following chart shows that the decrease in fertility is proportional to the decrease in the growth of the Muslim population, which makes sense considering that fertility is one of the primary factors in the growth of any population subset.

                    • The alleged decline of Muslims in Immigrant communities seems more connected to inferiority complex and the psychological damage of being mentally colonized.

That's not really relevant to what I said.

                            • It's just an obvious reality that most of the ones who stray are more because of psychological and social reasons. This sophistic babble claiming Islam is wrong is a smokescreen, most iof the arguments I've seen that try to "debunk" Islam are based on logical fallacies that can't be taken seriously from an intellectually honest perspective.
